According to Variety, the previously announced live action DORA THE EXPLORER film has officially set a release date. Paramount Pictures has announced that the movie will swing into theaters Aug. 2, 2019. The film has been in the works for a few years now, and it being produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller. The three make up Platinum Dunes production company. Comedy Central President Kent Alterman today announced the renewal of Corporate for a second season. The series, which Variety hailed as “deliciously dark and hilariously ruthless” and Indiewire called “the first great comedy of 2018,” premiered in January as the highest-rated basic-cable primetime comedy of the 2017-2018 season among males 18-34. Blackfriars Theatre is thrilled to welcome Broadway's Rick Lyon to the creative process for their upcoming May production of the Tony-winning musical, Avenue Q. Mr. Lyon, who originated the role of Trekkie Monster/Nikkie in Avenue Q in the New York production, will join the Blackfriars cast for three days of puppeteering workshops. In addition, Mr. Lyon will be accompanied by the Broadway puppets, who will remain in residence at Blackfriars for the entire run of Avenue Q. That's right - Blackfriars Theatre will have the Broadway cast… well, the stuffed ones, that is.

Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT), which launched a successful slate of acting classes last fall, is accepting applications now for Scene and Monologue Study, a deeper study of the craft of acting. Designed for intermediate to advanced actors, it will be taught by AEA/SAG-AFTRA actor and director Bob Rogerson, best known for his roles in several popular Nickelodeon TV series.
