Nat Towsen's Downtown Variety Hour is back at UCB Theatre East Village on Monday, April 2 at 7:30 PM with the an all-star comedy lineup! Host Nat Towsen (VICE, Nickelodeon) combines the disappearing, eclectic lower Manhattan culture in which he grew up (around the corner from the theatre, in fact) with interviews, informative presentations, and the best of the NYC comedy scene. The show features native luminaries as well as a few welcome New York transplants.

According to Deadline, Miranda Cosgrove is set to join the new CBS pilot HISTORY OF THEM. She is joining the previously announced cast of Ana Villafañe and Brett Dier. The series is helmed by executive producer and co-creator Gloria Calderon Kellett, best known for her writing work on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. Three years after releasing Trevor Moore: High in Church, Moore returns to Comedy Central with his second one-hour special, Trevor Moore: The Story of Our Times, debuting on Friday, April 20 at Midnight ET/PT. For the first time ever, Comedy Central will be streaming live on Facebook for a full 24 hours. Viacom Inc. today announced a strategic partnership with Day Zero Productions, an international production and distribution company led by Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.' Under the long-term deal, Viacom will have exclusive 'first look' rights on all projects developed by Noah and Day Zero Productions in all media, including television, feature films, digital and short-form video content. Viacom will also make an investment in Day Zero.

Assembled Identity is the 29th hybrid work by Marting, who co-founded HERE in 1993. Comedy Central announced today that its newest game show series Taskmaster, hosted by Reggie Watts (The Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Bang! Bang!), will premiere on Friday, April 27 at 11:00 p.m. The series, whose format originated in the U.K., requires individuals to use ingenuity and creativity to complete unusual challenges. Throughout the season, Watts and his co-host, Alex Horne, judge five unwitting contestants which include Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor, Bates Motel), Kate Berlant (High Maintenance, Search Party), Dillon Francis (DJ, Record Producer), Lisa Lampanelli (stand-up and insult comic), and Ron Funches (Trolls, Undateable) as they compete independently against each other in a series of stupefying tasks. Taskmaster will air two back-to-back episodes on Fridays at 11pm ET/PT for four weeks.
