Comedy Central secured six nominations today in the 2017-2018 Primetime Emmy® Awards competition with three series receiving Outstanding Series/Program nominations: The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Drunk History and South Park. The Emmy® Award winning The Daily Show with Trevor Noah scored its first nomination for Outstanding Variety Talk Series since Trevor Noah took over as host, along with its first nomination in the Outstanding Interactive Program category. The series also received its second consecutive nomination for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for Between the Scenes, a category for which it received the Emmy® Award last year.

There's no network hotter than Comedy Central this summer as June saw the #1 brand in comedy grow Total Day share among adults 18-49 for the 15th consecutive month — the longest streaks among Top 20 cable networks — and fifth consecutive quarter. The fastest-growing Top 20 cable network saw its biggest monthly ratings gains in primetime among the key A18-49 demo (+11%) since September 2013 and its biggest quarterly growth since 2013 (+7%).

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical, the critically acclaimed, award-winning new musical will conclude its Broadway engagement at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at West 47th Street) on Sunday, September 16, 2018, due to previously planned theatre renovations beginning mid-September. Early in 2019, school and youth group licensing rights will be available, with professional licensing to follow. Additionally, a North American tour will begin fall 2019 (cities, venue engagements and casting to be announced at a later date). The production, which began previews on November 6, 2017, and opened on December 4, 2017, will have played 327 regular performances and 29 previews.

Tony Award-winning Children's Theatre Company is holding auditions for all student roles for the four-time, Tony Award-winning production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical at Mall of America on August 18, 2018 between 9:30am to 3:30pm. CTC is encouraging students of any/all genders, racial backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels to audition. All student roles are being considered for this and other CTC productions through this audition. There will be an additional call-back audition at a later date.
