The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2019 season, which opens on June 10 with Guys and Dolls.

Audiences have until next Sunday - December 23, to be precise - to experience what is likely to become a Music City holiday tradition: Peter Pan and Tinker Bell: A Pirate's Christmas at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's James K. Polk Theatre. A somewhat Americanized version of a peculiarly British seasonal entertainment, aka "panto," Peter Pan and Tinker Bell is a winning blend of theater, Christmas pageant, vaudeville and British music hall all rolled into one bright, shiny, kind of weird, but altogether fun and rather unique holiday-themed package that's a welcome addition to yuletide revelry.

Multi-instrumentalist Dan Zanes and Haitian-American jazz vocalist Claudia Eliaza bring their educational and interactive children's show to Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre in Malibu on Sunday, January 27 at 2 p.m.

D.J. Caruso is in talks to direct Are You Afraid of the Dark?, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Paramount Players is producing the big-screen take on the 1990s anthology series.

The show, directed by Gary Oesch, is set to close December 23, 2018.

Starlight Runner Entertainment has secured an agreement with Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. to help bring the iconic and celebrated classic Japanese superhero property ULTRAMAN back onto the international stage. Starlight Runner, a New York based production company specializing in transmedia storytelling, has worked on such world class brands as Men in Black, Coca-Cola, Avatar, Halo, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In a unique arrangement, Starlight Runner will be teaming with The Licensing Group to reactivate and extend the property across multiple media platforms with a story-driven licensing and merchandising program. In his role as Transmedia Producer, Jeff Gomez and his Starlight Runner team will develop the official Story World Mythology for the existing ULTRAMAN series. 

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 lineup. As part of the Spotlight series, the panel will feature Taylor Trensch (the current Evan Hansen), Michael Lee Brown (Alternate Evan Hansen; u/s Connor Murphy, Jared Kleinman), and Andrew Barth Feldman (Evan Hansen, starting January 30) in conversation on Saturday, January 12 at 11:15 a.m.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will present Lesli Margherita in "Yule Your Kingdom" for two shows on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15, both at 11:30 PM. After selling out 24 cities across the U.S., Nickelodeon star and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa is adding 28 dates to her first North American tour: Nickelodeon's JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour. Presented by Party City, the 53-city tour is produced by Nickelodeon and AEG Presents and will make a stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019.

Feld Entertainment, Inc., the worldwide leader in producing live touring family entertainment, brings the Academy Award winning and number one animated feature film of all time, Disney's Frozen, to life. Disney On Ice presents Frozen will stop in the Austin area May 8-12, 2019 with eight performances at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Nickelodeon's all-new buddy comedy series, Cousins For Life, will premiere on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The live-action series follows 12-year-old cousins and best friends Stuart (Dallas Dupree Young) and Ivy (Scarlet Spencer) as they learn to navigate life under one roof with their families in Portland, despite being from very different backgrounds. Although the cousins don't always see eye-to-eye, they learn that they are better together, and when they team up they are unstoppable. COUSINS FOR LIFE will air weekly on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Riverside Theatre for Kids presents the area premiere of the holiday classic, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, in a live stage show on December 6-8, 2018.

Nickelodeon's Henry Danger, the number-one live-action show on TV with K2-11 and K6-11 (through 11/28/18), will pass the 100-episode mark, with an additional ten-episode pickup announced today. The order brings the series' total to 117, making HENRY DANGER Nickelodeon's longest-running live-action sitcom. Nickelodeon is currently airing HENRY DANGER season five.
