Great Urban Race NYC Slated for This Weekend

This is where your adventure begins. Great Urban Race will be coming to NYC for the fifth year in a row on Saturday, August 4, 2012. This year, Great Urban Race will take participants off the beaten path to new, exciting locations within their cities. Teamwork will prove essential in order to complete the race's various mental and physical challenges that will push participants to their limits and beyond their expectations. Amazing Race Season 13 winner Nick Spangler will kick off the event with exclusive scavenger hunting tips. Nick is currently performing in the Tony-Winning Book of Mormon.

John Davidson to Return to THE FANTASTICKS Cast, 7/30

John Davidson, the celebrated television, theater and film actor who starred as Matt in the 1964 Hallmark Hall of Fame version of THE FANTASTICKS and recently performed for a limited engagement in the Off-Broadway production as Henry, The Old Actor, will return to the cast on July 30 in that same role.

Jeremiah James Joins THE FANTASTICKS as El Gallo

West End leading man and recording artist Jeremiah James will join the cast of The Fantasticks on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. He succeeds Edward Watts in the role of El Gallo.

THE FANTASTICKS Celebrates 52nd Anniversary Tomorrow

On Thursday, May 3, 2012 Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's romantic musical comedy The Fantasticks will celebrate its 52nd anniversary. The Fantasticks currently stars triple platinum recording artist Aaron Carter as Matt. Television and stage star John Davidson will join the cast as Henry on June 1.

The cast was led by Laura Osnes (Maria Rainer), Tony Goldwyn (Captain von Trapp), Brooke Shields (Elsa Schraeder), Patrick Page (Max Detweiler), Stephanie Blythe (The Mother Abbess), Mary Michael Patterson (Liesl von Trapp), Nick Spangler (Rolf Gruber), Cotter Smith (Herr Zeller), and Reed Birney (Admiral von Schreiber). They were joined by and Joel Hatch (Franz, The Butler), Joy Hermalyn (Sister Berthe), Linda Mugleston (Sister Margaretta), Faith Sherman (Sister Sophia), and Veanne Cox (Frau Schmidt). THE BOOK OF MORMON Offers Second Free Fan Performance in June

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will celebrate its first anniversary on Broadway on March 24. In celebration of the show's first year on Broadway, the production today announced a free fan performance, which has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 6 at 2:00 PM, for entrants of the show's wildly popular ticket lottery.

Today, The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports that THE BOOK OF MORMON will open at the Prince of Wales Theatre in March of 2013. Casting is set to begin shortly in the UK.
