The Broadway Dreams Foundation will hold its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts will join together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. The evening will include festive cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and performances by Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winner Marc Shaiman, BDF Artistic Director Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan, "One Life to Live"), teaching artists Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys), Kirsten Scott (Follies), Morgan James (Godspell), BDF alumni Ryann Redmond (Bring It On The Musical), current Broadway Dreams students from across the country.
Benedict Campbell & Manna Nichols Set to Lead MY FAIR LADY at Arena Stage, 11/2-1/6

Based on George Bernard Shaw's classic play Pygmalion, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's musical My Fair Lady follows the transformation of Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into an aristocratic lady through lessons in manners, language and dress. After directing the production at the 2011 Shaw Festival, Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith reunites with members of her original design team, along with noted Canadian actor Benedict Campbell who reprises his role as Henry Higgins, to bring a completely fresh interpretation to audiences in D.C. As previously announced, Manna Nichols makes her Arena debut as Eliza Doolittle, and Nicholas Rodriguez returns as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, leading a cast that features many D.C.-area actors. My Fair Lady became the best-selling production in the Shaw Festival's 50-year history and runs at Arena Stage November 2, 2012-January 6, 2013 in the Fichandler Stage.

Philadelphia's Broadway dreams came true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partnered with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive, July 30 through August 5, 2012. Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award-winner for Parade, and a faculty of Broadway professionals taught master classes during the week to aspiring Philadelphia area students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre. Philadelphia's Broadway dreams will come true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partners with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive July 30 through August 5, 2012. A week's end, the Broadway faculty will perform alongside BDF students in "Express Yourself," a unique concert event directed by acclaimed New York director Matt Lenz (Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast) at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts' Perelman Theater on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3 pm and 8 pm. Alexander Greenfield will direct a cast that includes Kate Shindle (Wonderland, Legally Blonde), Alex Brightman (Wicked, Glory Days), Theresa McCarthy (Titanic, Floyd Collins), and Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan, One Life to Live, Arena Stage's Oklahoma) in a reading of Michael Finke's new musical REPORTING LIVE on July 25th at 12 and 4 p.m. as well as July 28th at 2 p.m. as part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival Developmental Reading Series.

Lost In Love, the new musical based on the hit songs of Air Supply, played the Triad Theatre on June 5, the first live follow-up to an industry-only reading in April of this year. Andrea McArdle and Constantine Maroulis returned to star in this latest installment of the production and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture some of the musical highlights.

On Monday, June 4, singer William Blake brought down the house in his third R&B-infused concert at for the Broadway at Birdland series. The show, 'Echoes of Etta,' celebrated the musical legacy of Etta James, and included her first #1 hit, 'The Wallflower (Roll With Me, Henry),' her quintessential 'At Last,' and rare interview recordings of the star. The band included Michael Thomas Murray on piano and Fender Rhodes, Oscar Bautista on guitar, Mike Preen on bass, Steve Kelly on drums, Matthew Polashek on sax. 'The Peaches' included Shira Elias, Ashley Betton and Stephany Mora.

LOST IN LOVE - a new musical based on the hit songs of Air Supply, which held an industry-only reading in April, plays again at the Triad Theatre tonight, June 5. The cast includes Tony-nominated actor Constantine Maroulis ('Rock of Ages,' 'American Idol') and Andrea McArdle, Broadway's original 'Annie.' Graham Russell of Air Supply will be performing on guitar and Russell Hitchcock will also be in attendance.

Nicholas Rodriguez, known to soap audiences as Nick Chavez on ABC's 'One Life to Live' for which he received a GLAAD Media Award, has joined the cast of 'LOST IN LOVE' the Air Supply musical for the sold-out staged reading on June 5 to benefit The Actors Fund. Rodriguez replaces Justin Matthew Sargent, who had a scheduling conflict.

The West Side YMCA's Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater presents its 2nd annual benefit cabaret, Little Theater, Big Dreams tonight, May 21st. The Off-Broadway gem, located inside the historic West Side Y, will play host to powerful performances from Broadway's brightest alongside the Kids Company, a group of young triple-threats-in-training.
