The evening included a cocktail reception, seated dinner, opening night performance of THE TALLEST TREE IN THE FOREST and post-show dessert reception. The dinner featured the presentation of the American Artist Award to iconic stage and screen actress Kathleen Turner and the presentation of the American Voice Award to Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (D-Ohio).THE TALLEST TREE IN THE FOREST showcases the talents of playwright and performer Daniel Beaty and is directed by Moisés Kaufman. Produced by Tectonic Theater Project, the music-infused new play runs through February 16 at Arena Stage.
The creative team for The Tallest Tree in the Forest includes Music Director Kenny J. Seymour, Set Designer Derek McLane, Costume Designer Clint Ramos, Lighting Designer David Lander, Sound Designer Lindsay Jones, Projection Designer John Narun and Stage Manager Craig Campbell.
