The Lark Play Development Center announces a BareBones workshop production of Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau (Detroit '67 and Sunset Baby), the third and final play in her Detroit cycle, to be directed by Artistic Director of Baltimore's Center Stage and Chancellor of the University of the Arts London, Kwame Kwei-Armah. NACL announced the New York premiere of STRUCK, its new performance about neurology, the workings of the mind, and one woman's walk on the razor's-edge between life and death. STRUCK was co-created by NACL Artistic Director and actress Tannis Kowalchuk, who suffered a major stroke in 2011. In collaboration with fellow NACL actor Brett Keyser, neuroscientist Allison Waters, New York playwright Kristen Kosmas and Canadian director Ker Wells, STRUCK was created as a response to that close brush with mortality.
Celebrating his newly-published memoir, Song of Spider-Man - The Inside Story of The Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History, writer Glen Berger visits THEATER TALK for a in-depth two-part interview about alliances forged and allegiances broken during the creation of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Berger worked for 5 years to co-author the musical's original book with the show's controversial director, Julie Taymor, and remained on board to rewrite the show (with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa) once Taymor was fired from the project in early 2011, prompting New York Post journalist Michael Riedel to refer to him as "Judas" in his column.

In December The Jewish Museum will launch a new program series, Wish You Were Here. The first offering is a discussion between Jens Hoffmann, The Jewish Museum's Deputy Director, Exhibitions and Public Programs, and Dr. Sigmund Freud, as presented by noted Freud scholar Michael S. Roth. Over the next two years, Hoffmann will interview the subjects of Andy Warhol's Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century (1980), interpreted by prominent experts, as if each were coming to the Museum to have a conversation in the present day.
