Lar Lubovitch Dance Company Announces 50th Anniversary Season

The Lar Lubovitch Dance Company announces its 50th anniversary season at The Joyce Theater in New York City, April 17 22, 2018. The season will feature the world premiere of Wanderers as well as signature works from the Company's vast repertory, including Men's Stories: A Concerto in Ruin (2000), performed by Lubovitch's acclaimed Company of dancers. The Company will be joined by the Martha Graham Dance Company and dancers from the Joffrey Ballet, each performing seminal Lubovitch dances in honor of this milestone year.

2018 KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival Grows to 11 Days

The 2017 KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival (September 14-23) was our most successful Fringe yet, reports the non-profit board of directors that organizes the fast-growing, multi-genre arts festival. Attendance at more than 500 performances and events 175 of them free of charge is estimated* at more than 78,000 (a 15% increase over last year's 68,000).

Robinson, and Marty Dodson, and book by Willy Holtzman.

Susana Cook Kicks Off BlakTinX Festival at BAAD!

BAAD! The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance kicks off its fall season with the BlakTinX Performance Series from October 13 to November 18, 2017. This annual multidisciplinary festival inaugurated in 2002 celebrates art and performance by Black, Latinx and artists of color. Jazz Legend Marlene Verplanck to Perform at Westchester Collaborative Theater

On Saturday, October 14, Westchester Collaborative Theater will continue its acclaimed Jazz Masters series with jazz and pop legend Marlene Verplanck of whom The New York Times wrote 'She may be the most accomplished interpreter of popular material performing today.' Jazz Journal International Review called her the 'finest canary in captivity' and Downbeat Magazine rated her recently released CD, 'The Mood I'm In' as one of 2016's best - making her the only singer to be included in the prestigious listing. Verplanck will perform at WCT's Black Box performance space for 2 sets at 7:30 and 9:00pm.

New York Philharmonic String Quartet To Make NY Recital Debut at 92nd Street Y, 11/12

The New York Philharmonic String Quartet will make its New York recital debut at 92nd Street Y performing Beethoven's String Quartet No. 4; Dvo? k's String Quartet in F major, American; and Mendelssohn's String Quartet in F minor on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. The performance will be co-presented by the New York Philharmonic and 92nd Street Y. Formed in January 2017, the New York Philharmonic String Quartet comprises Concertmaster Frank Huang, Principal Associate Concertmaster Sheryl Staples, Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps, and Principal Cello Carter Brey.
