Pilobolus and Queens Theatre have announced three upcoming performances of Pilobolus Mixed Repertory, November 4 and 5.

Adrienne Willis, Executive and Artistic Director of LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts, today announced the third edition of the organization's acclaimed LUMBERYARD In The City Winter Festival, which takes place from January 25 February 10 at New York Live Arts in New York City. The 2018 Winter Festival will feature genre-blurring productions from three daring and highly accomplished artists, including choreographer Kei Takei and her company Moving Earth Orient Sphere who will present the New York premiere of LIGHT, Part 44 (Bamboo Forest) (??) and Solo from LIGHT, Part 8 (January 25-27); playwright and performance artist Robbie McCauley, who presents the New York premiere of Sugar (February 1-3); and choreographer, dancer and visual artist Dana Reitz, who will present her new world premiere work (February 8-10).

Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, Haydn's Cello Concerto No. 2 in D Major, Op. 101 and Wagner's Siegfried Idyl can all be heard at Hoff-Barthelson Music School's Festival Orchestra's Winter Concert. The concert, under the direction of Jun Nakabayashi, takes place Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at the Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 468 Rosedale Avenue, White Plains, NY. As part of Dance Now's new ENCORE series, the collaborative trio LMnO3 (Deborah Lohse, Cori Marquis, and Donnell Oakley) returns to Joe's Pub with its acclaimed work B.A.N.G.S.: made in America, a kaleidoscopic pageant of status, attention, categorization, and femininity. Shape -shifting in style and identity , the dancers explore what they are and aren't qualified to do. Serious play and creative instincts rule as the trio obsesses over the ideas behind B.A.N.G.S., a mnemonic device frequently used by French-language learners to remember which adjectives go in front of a noun: Beauty, Age, Number, Goodness, and Size. Utilizing hard rap, body percussion, a game show, and the power of female relationships, this comedic trio sets aside its own fear and doubt, beginning to repurpose how we can unapologetically wear our own B.A.N.G.S.

For this revelatory program, Alla francesca reconstructs songs from manuscripts of the Jewish communities living in Northern France in the second half of the 13th-century. Since only a few musical fragments remain, the group sets the intertwined Hebrew and langue d'o l poetry to tunes by contemporaneous composers, the songs accompanied by varied medieval instruments.

After a successful launch in 2016, Museum of the Moving Image and The India Center Foundation present the second annual India Kaleidoscope Film Festival (IKFF), to take place from November 9 through 12, 2017. India Kaleidoscope is a new festival that will present film lovers with a chance to immerse themselves in the unique sights and sounds that make up the Indian regional, independent film landscape. These films, which explore the most relevant and pressing topics facing the subcontinent, are being made by today's most progressive filmmakers working in regional languages. This year, India Kaleidoscope will span seven different regional Indian languages and include new programming initiatives that bring independent regional Indian cinema to an even wider audience.
