It's a jungle out there! Finding a soul mate can be an exhausting experience for lonely hearts looking for love in all the wrong places. But for Marvin and Katie, it's kismet when their eyes first meet at a speed dating event. During their brief time together, they imagine what their lives would be like if they allowed this momentary encounter to evolve to the next level. Their decisions may determine their entire future and whether this will turn out to be a date from hell or a date of a lifetime.

Tribeca PAC Presents BIKEMAN, A 9/11 PLAY - 2/18

Marc Agger and William Brown proudly present Bikeman: A 9/11 Play by Thomas F. Flynn based on his acclaimed book. Flynn is an Emmy® Award-winning CBS reporter who nearly lost his life when the Twin Towers fell. He lived to write about his odyssey in an epic narrative poem that soon became a best seller. Dan Rather called it 'a journey into a modern underworld, and of the escape that made it possible to tell the tale.' Now, this critically acclaimed book has been adapted for the stage directed by Michael Bush. Bikeman features Tony Award® nominee Robert Cuccioli, Irungu Mutu, Angela Pierce, Elizabeth Ramos, and Richard Topol.

WALLENBERG, A NEW MUSICAL DRAMA Plays Lynn University's Wold Center for the Performing Arts Tonight

Raoul Wallenberg's epic journey will be brought to life in a multi-media staged reading of Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama. The production will take place at Lynn University's Wold Center for the Performing Arts on February 12th and 13th only. With book and lyrics by the 2006 Kleban Award-winning team of Laurence Holzman and Felicia Needleman, and music by Benjamin Rosenbluth, Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama recounts the fascinating and uplifting story of one of the greatest heroes of the twentieth century.

Urban Stages to Present CHARACTER MAN, A MUSICAL MEMOIR, 2/28-3/30

Urban Stages Founding Artistic Director Frances Hill and producer Peter Napolitano present the World Premiere of Character Man as part of its 30th Anniversary season. Jim Brochu's new musical memoir begins an Off-Broadway run at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street) February 28th, with opening night set for Wednesday March 5th. This limited run will continue through March 30th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. Character Man will have scenic & video design by Patrick Brennan, lighting design by Meghan Santelli and sound design by Sean Hagerty.

PINKALICIOUS Returns to the Vital Theatre, Now thru 4/27

The award-winning Vital Theatre Company has announced that its long-running family hit PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL will return to the Vital Theatre on 76th Street for performances Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 pm, today, February 1st through April 27th, 2014.

Cygnet has snagged the rights to present the Southern California premiere of Jordan Harrison's Maple and Vine, a sensation last season Off-Broadway at New York's Playwrights Horizons. Maple and Vine is a comedy about a couple who have become allergic to their 21st century lives and decide to move into a closed-community of 1950s re-enactors who forsake their cell phones and sushi for poodle-skirts, milkmen and Tupperware parties. Pace New Musicals Stages LITTLE MISS FIX-IT, CONFIRMED Readings, Now thru 1/27

Pace University's Pace New Musicals (PNM) program (est. 2007 by Program Head Amy Rogers), dedicated to the discovery of new theater works, and Ryan Scott Oliver, composer- lyricist and producer, will present a staged reading of Little Miss Fix-It (book and lyrics by Kirsten A. Guenther and music by Joy Son) today, January 23-27, 2014.

11th International Cabaret Contest Grand Final Set for Tonight

Heats of The Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest (YTICC) wrapped this week after heats in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland. The Grand Final line-up will see 10 hopefuls from each of the 5 cities take to the stage in what promises to be the most diverse and high calibre Grand Final in the contest's 11 year history. This year's winner will take home a career-changing prize, as well as the title of YTICC cabaret sensation for 2014!

GHOSTLIGHT Musical Gets Fall 2014 Workshop; Broadway Next?

As previously reported, the highly buzzed about musical Ghostlight, by popular up-and-comers Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, presented an industry reading on Monday, January 13th at Theater Three on West 43rd Street, following two highly-attended backer's auditions on December 2nd at The New 42nd Street Studios. Kevin Lambert (Broadway's Godspell) presented the January 13th reading, which was directed by Realbuto and Martin and featured a starstudded 18 person cast, including Drama League nominee and Great Comet star Phillipa Soo, three time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello, Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli, Jennifer Hope Wills, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, Trevor McQueen, and Abigail Ludrof. Alison Holman (Freedom's Song) provided the musical direction.

Soo, Carmello, Cuccioli & More Headline GHOSTLIGHT Reading January 13

Kevin Lambert (Broadway's Godspell) presents an industry reading of the musical Ghostlight, written and directed by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto on Monday, January 13th , 2014 at 5:00 PM. Ghostlight had two highly-attended, successful backer's auditions at The New 42nd Street Studios on December 2nd. This is the first time a show has added a third reading so quickly due to popular demand. The January 13th reading will take place at Theater Three, 311 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor.
