ELF to Play Al Hirschfeld Theatre this Holiday Season; Opens Nov. 10, 2010

This holiday season, Broadway will receive the greatest gift of all - a new musical. Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features announced today that the new Broadway musical ELF will open on Wednesday, November 10th at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). Previews will begin on Tuesday, November 2nd. The production will play a limited engagement for the holiday season through Sunday, January 2nd.

The Broadway hit ROCK OF AGES paid tribute to the life of rock legend Ronnie James Dio at the Tuesday, May 18th performance. The former lead singer of Black Sabbath, who died this past Sunday, is the man credited with inventing the enduring symbol of heavy metal, the 'Devil's horns' hand gesture. As the show began, the entire audience raised their hands in that familiar symbol in remembrance of the rock icon who now resides in heavy metal heaven.

Official production photos have been released today for the upcoming 'Sex and the City 2.' Warner Bros. and New Line will release the the film in theaters on May 27, 2010. The big screen sequel reteams director-writer Michael Patrick King with his four leading ladies--Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. John Melfi will return to produce with King and Parker.

The producers of ROCK OF AGES announced today that Tony Award Nominee and 'American Idol' finalist, Constantine Maroulis, will reprise his acclaimed performance as Drew in the First National Tour of the five-time Tony Award nominated smash-hit musical ROCK OF AGES. The tour will launch in September in Chicago with a limited two-week engagement at the Bank of America Theatre September 21 - October 3, 2010. Tickets for ROCK OF AGES are now on sale as part of the 2010/2011 Broadway In Chicago Season Series or for groups of 15 or more. Individual tickets will go on sale soon.
