Hamingson) announced complete casting and creative team today for FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 8 & 9), the final play of the 2008-2009 Public LAB season. Written by Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Jo Bonney, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 8 & 9) will begin performances on Friday, June 5 and run through Sunday, June 28. 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) is thrilled to welcome Tony Award-nominee Marion McClinton and Carlyle Brown, one of this country?s most prolific playwrights, to 59E59 Theaters and Americas Off Broadway. The NYC premiere of Mr. Brown?s playPure Confidence, directed by Mr. McClinton and from Minneapolis? Mixed Blood Theatre, begins previews on Friday, May 22 for a limited engagement through Friday, July 3. Opening Night is Wednesday, May 27 at 8 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday at 7:00 PM, Wednesday ? Friday at 8:00 PM; Saturday at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM; Sunday at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. T Fellowship Sees First Yield Of Efforts WIth GROUNDSWELL At The Acorn Theater

The T Fellowship, the ambitious Theater program created in an effort to encourage, support and develop a new generation of creative theatrical producers, is now seeing the first yield of its considerable efforts with the critical hit GROUNDSWELL, the U.S. premiere of the award-winning play by Ian Bruce and directed by Scott Elliott. SHEAR MADNESS Extends Its Run Through 9/6 At Blumenthal PAC

Thanks to strong ticket sales and fantastic feedback from audiences, Shear Madness - Charlotte's all-time longest running theatrical hit that opened April 9 at the new Stage Door Theater - has extended its run through Sunday, Sept. 6, Blumenthal Performing Arts Center President Tom Gabbard announced today. Originally slated to close June 6, Shear Madness has added three months of performances in Charlotte, which will follow an exclusive one-month engagement in Blowing Rock.

THE STARRY MESSENGER With Broderick & More Set For New Group's 2009-10 Season

The New Group, currently represented Off-Broadway by Ian Bruce's play Groundswell, is pleased to announce its upcoming 2009-2010 season. Leading next season with previews beginning in October 2009 is the world premiere of The Starry Messenger by Kenneth Lonergan, featuring Matthew Broderick. The season continues with a major revival of A Lie of the Mind by Sam Shepard, directed by Ethan Hawke (previews begin January 2010).

Broderick and Lonergan to Collaborate for The New Group's Fall Season

The New York Times reports that Matthew Broderick, currently starring on Broadway in Roundabout's The Philanthropist and Kenneth Lonergan will collaborate for the New Group's 2009-10 season with the premiere of l'The Starry Messenger,' a play by Mr. Lonergan ('This Is Our Youth,' 'You Can Count on Me') and starring Mr. Broderick. Previews are expected to start in October according to The Times.

Irons & Nixon to Host 75th Annual Drama League Awards 5/15

The Drama League (Jano Herbosch, President) is pleased to announce that Jeremy Irons (Broadway's Impressionism) and Cynthia Nixon (Off-Broadway's Distracted at the Roundabout Theatre Company), who first starred together as father and daughter in the 1984 Broadway production of The Real Thing, will reunite this spring to serve as co-hosts for The 75th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon.
