PS122 Presents Sally Silvers' YESSIFIED! 3/22-3/29

Performance Space 122 presents the world premiere of Sally Silvers' Yessified!. The icono-classical choreographer returns with her first new group dance since 2005's Puppy Skills - which was the 25th anniversary of Sally Silvers at P.S. 122.

8th A.R.T./NY Theater Internship Fair Held 3/21

A.R.T./New York (Alliance of Resident Theatres/ New York) has joined forces with The American Theatre Wing and the Michael Tuch Foundation to present the eighth annual A.R.T./New York Internship Fair on Saturday, March 21 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The fair is open to undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates of all majors seeking theatre internships for the summer and fall of 2009. Representatives from more than 50 New York theatres, including The New Group, New York Stage and Film, Signature Theatre Company and Roundabout Theatre Company will be present to meet with potential interns and discuss careers in the theatre. The fair will be held at The Westin Hotel in New York (270 W 43rd St. at 8th Ave).

Spanger & Carpinello Join Maroulis for ROCK OF AGES, Full Casting Announced, Previews Start at Atkinson 3/17

The producers of ROCK OF AGES announced the complete, awesome cast for Broadway's new, smash hit musical today. Constantine Maroulis, ('American Idol' Season 4, Broadway's The Wedding Singer, RENT) reprising his critically acclaimed role as 'Drew', is now joined by Broadway's best 1970's & 1980's period actors Amy Spanger (The Wedding Singer, Kiss Me Kate) as 'Sherrie' and James Carpinello (Saturday Night Fever, VH1's 'So NoTORIous') as 'Stacee Jaxx'.

Abingdon Theater Co Announces LOVE DRUNK, Previews 3/28

Abingdon Theatre Company has announced that it will present the world premiere of Romulus Linney's LOVE DRUNK, directed by Kelly Morgan and featuring Austin Pendleton and Kristina Valada-Viars on March 28, 2009. The official opening will be on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 5:00 PM in the Abingdon Theatre Company's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre.

West End Avenue Q to Transfer to Gielgud Theatre

Avenue Q will close in the West End at the No?l Coward Theatre on 28 March... but it will now reopen at the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue on 1 June (booking to Saturday 26 September), after the cast and puppets have taken a well deserved holiday!

The New Group presents Eric Bogosian in DRACULA: The Vampire Play in Three Acts, Dramatized by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston adapted from Bram Stoker's classic novel, Dracula. The special reading will take place March 8th, 2009 at The Acorn @ Theatre Row 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th & 10th Avenues) at 7pm.

Cullum, Hogan, Holgate In The Premiere Of HEROES, Opens 3/8

Keen Company (Artistic Director Carl Forsman, Executive Director Wayne Kelton) is thrilled to present John Cullum, Jonathan Hogan and Tony Roberts in the New York premiere of Heroes, by G?rald Sibleyras with a translation by Tom Stoppard and directed by Carl Forsman. Heroes received the 2006 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy. Performances begin on Tuesday, February 24 and run through April 11 at The Clurman Theatre / Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. Opening is scheduled for Sunday, March 8.

America Rising Series Continues W/ Neveu's HARMLESS 3/29

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its America Rising: Voices of Today reading series with Brett Neveu's Harmless. This reading will take place Sunday, March 29 at 5 p.m. at St. James Parish Hall, 225 Walnut Street in Bristol. Individual reading tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets include entertainment, a post-show discussion and a soul food dinner.

AVENUE Q "Re-Elects" BUSH Lyric, The Ex-Prez Stays!

Though no longer Commander-in-Chief, George Bush's tenure on Broadway as a lyric in the musical AVENUE Q will continue, it has been announced by the Tony Award-winning musical's creators and producers.

Irons & Nixon to Host 75th Annual Drama League Awards 5/15

The Drama League (Jano Herbosch, President) is pleased to announce that Jeremy Irons (Broadway's Impressionism) and Cynthia Nixon (Off-Broadway's Distracted at the Roundabout Theatre Company), who first starred together as father and daughter in the 1984 Broadway production of The Real Thing, will reunite this spring to serve as co-hosts for The 75th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon.

THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION Premieres 3/3, Runs Through 3/15

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) begins 2009 with the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Remedial English for the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company.
