With OUT IN THE OPEN (Ramseur Records) Steep Canyon Rangers affirm their place as one of the most versatile and idiosyncratic bands in all of contemporary American music.

Singer, rapper, and writer Dessa has made a career of bucking genres and defying expectations-her resume as a musician includes performances at Lollapalooza and Glastonbury, co-compositions for 100-voice choir, performances with the Minnesota Orchestra, and a top-200 entry on the Billboard charts for her album Parts of Speech.

Opera Atelier's founding co-artistic directors Marshall Pynkoski and Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg today announced the company's 2018-2019 season. The season opens with a French Baroque double bill of Charpentier's Act on paired with Rameau's Pygmalion (Oct. 25 Nov. 3, 2018), which will embark on an international tour to the Palace of Versailles and a soon-to-be-announced prestigious US venue. Auditions have been announced for Daniel Taylor Productions' immersive production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, which will be appearing at The Epstein Theatre as part of an alternating repertoire, alongside classic comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream from Wednesday 11 Saturday 21 April.

He balances a demanding performance schedule with speaking engagements, curating events, occasional acting and producing opportunities, all while relentlessly composing new music.
