In recognition of their undisputed bravery, they will be honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award when 'The 2018 ESPYS' air live on WEDNESDAY, JULY 18 (8:00 - 11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

South Africa's world famous singing group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, return to Australia this July! Fresh off winning their fifth Grammy Award (most by any World Music group in Grammy Award history) and representing their country at the April 21st Commonwealth Celebration for Queen Elizabeth's 92nd Birthday in London, the group returns to Australia for concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Hobart, Tasmania!

Emily Behrmann, General Manager for the Carlsen Center Presents Series, today announced the 2018-2019 season which features iconic women artists including Emmylou Harris, Chita Rivera, Aida Cuevas, Lisa Loeb and Marilyn Maye, scheduled to appear throughout the season. In January, Cincinnati was selected by the New York Times for its prestigious 52 Places To Go annual feature, a list of must-see locations around the world that inspire its readers' wanderlust. For the first time ever, the nation's largest daily newspaper has also selected a 52 Places Traveler who will report from the road as she visits each and every location on the list throughout 2018. The Cincinnati stop is planned for May when the 52 Places Traveler Jada Yuan will join New York Times veteran reporter John Eligon for a one-night-only special event, Wednesday, May 9 titled Destination Cincinnati- And Beyond. Cincinnati is the first city to host an exclusive event in conjunction with the 52 Places designation honor.

Netflix has announced that Idris Elba will star in an upcoming original Netflix series Turn Up Charlie.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center (FSLC) and African Film Festival, Inc. (AFF) celebrate the silver anniversary of the New York African Film Festival at FSLC from May 16 to 22. Under the theme “25 Years of the New York African Film Festival,” the international film organizations will pay homage to the pioneers of African cinema while marking the passing of the baton to a new generation of African visual storytellers who continue to transform and expand our understanding of the continent and its diaspora. The event also commemorates the 100th birthday of the venerated South African freedom fighter and national leader Nelson Mandela, with a crop of films from his native land. The month-long festival brings 66 films from 25 countries to FSLC, the Brooklyn Academy of Music's BAMcinématek, and Maysles Cinema in Harlem.
