For four magical nights in October, the Mabel Mercer Foundation will present a sparkling array of America's leading cabaret stars. Among the 60 outstanding artists who will take the stage at the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center from October 7th through 10th are multiple Grammy Award winner Jack Jones, Marilyn Maye, Steve Ross, Karen Akers, Nellie McKay, and Barbara Carroll.
Brooklyn-based trio The Lone Bellow brings its unique blend of American folk, country, and Southern gospel musical traditions to Zankel Hall on Friday, October 18 at 10:00 p.m., kicking off the ninth annual WFUV Live at Zankel series. The group, featuring Zach Williams (vocals), Brian Elmquist (guitar and vocals), and Kanene Pipkin (mandolin and vocals), performs songs from their self-titled debut album released by Descendant Records / Sony Music this past January.
The 2013-14 season of the Bryn Mawr College Performing Arts Series begins in November with the music of Turtle Island Quartet with Nellie McKay and a performance of sacred dance and music by Tibetan monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery.

Howard Fishman and his Band will perform on Thursday, July 11 as part of The Jewish Museum's popular SummerNights concert series. According to The New York Times, Howard Fishman 'transcends time and idiom' performing his particular blend of jazz, pop, blues and experimental music. The third annual "Night of A Thousand Judys" - presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - has added Maude Maggart (Entertainment Weekly's "Must List"), Tituss Burgess ("30 Rock," Jersey Boys), Rachel Shukert (Starstruck), John Early ("30 Rock") and Becca Blackwell (Untitled Feminist Show) to the lineup of talent for the show on Monday, June 17. The Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street in New York). "Night of A Thousand Judys" will honor the legendary singer and actress Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her storied career. There will be a pre-show VIP reception at 6:30 PM and the show at 8:00 PM. The show is written and hosted by Justin Sayre and Lance Horneserves as music director, with choreography by Jason Wise and costumes by Sean Barrett.
