The Rose Theatre Kingston has announced its Christmas production and two further new Rose Theatre Productions in 2013. Covering the Christmas period, Cinderella The Midnight Princess, tells the magical classic Cinderella story with humour and the sublime music of Mozart. In-house productions include Noel Coward's The Vortex and Richard Bean's black comedy Smack Family Robinson, directed by the much-loved Richard Wilson. Next year also sees the return of Propeller with The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night, and Northern Broadsides presents the groundbreaking Rutherford & Son, directed by Sir Jonathan Miller.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College launches its 2012-2013 season with a double billing of Metropolitan Klezmer & Isle of Klezbos on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2pm. Drummer/band leader Eve Sicular leads these two internationally acclaimed New York City based ensembles, which represent two sides of the same musical coin, interpreting Yiddish favorites with a mixture of tradition and irreverence.

As a part of The Next Fifty Art, Culture and Design series, Lisa Hein and Robert Seng present BRUISE, a process oriented artwork constructed in the form of a growing Jello brick wall. The brightly colored piece will be open for viewing 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily, Aug. 20 - Sept. 9, on Next 50 Plaza.

This major site-specific installation will include nine monumental sculptures made of polyester resin, with mosaics of ceramic, mirror and stained glass, towering as high as 16 feet and as wide as 13 feet. It will feature Saint Phalle's signature nanas and totems, as well as works from her iconic Black Heroes series depicting legendary jazz musicians and athletes.

The Jacob's Pillow Dance Award honors outstanding, visionary dance artists and carries a prize of $25,000, one of the largest cash awards in the dance industry, to be used by the choreographer to enhance their artistry in any way they choose.
