SHREK THE MUSICAL, which plays the Orpheum Theatre December 1, 2010 through January 2, 2011, kicks off the 2010-2011 Best of Broadway series under the direction of Carole Shorenstein Hays. Tickets go on sale Sunday, October 3.

According to a report by Mail Online, in addtion to Nigel Lindsay, who will be playing the title character, Nigel Harmen, Richard Blackwood, and Amanda Holden will be joining the upcoming London production of Shrek as Lord Farquaad, Donkey and Princess Fiona respectively.
SHREK THE MUSICAL® will open at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in May 2011. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 1, 2010. The new stage musical will be booking until February 19, 2012.
UK Daily Mail reports that Amanda Holden, a judge for 'Britain's Got Talent,' has been cast as 'Princess Fiona' in the West End production of SHREK. A contract has yet to be signed, though the casting has been finalized. Rehearsals for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane musical are expected to begin in the spring, with previews beginning in May. Holden previously worked with Rob Ashford on THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.
