A leading Scottish playwright has arrived in Malibu to work with Pepperdine University theatre students on a hard-hitting production that will have its world premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The National Theatre of Scotland is teaming up with the award-winning Catherine Wheels Theatre Company, one of Scotland's leading producers of children's theatre, to present a new immersive, theatre show with music, for children and families. Eddie and the Slumber Sisters is created and directed by Catherine Wheels' Artistic Director Gill Robertson and will tour across Scotland in April and May 2018, including presentations at the Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival and the Edinburgh International Children's Festival.

The world premiere of Jemma Kennedy's blisteringly entertaining Genesis Inc. will be directed by Laurie Sansom. The world premiere of Fiona Doyle's haunting and provocative new drama The Strange Death of John Doe will be directed by Artistic Director Edward Hall for Hampstead Downstairs. The production is a Hampstead Theatre commission and a finalist for The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Under 30s can access Priority Booking for all shows via The Downstairs Club - Hampstead's free membership scheme to allow better access to the cheaper seats.
La Jolla Playhouse announces Hundred Days, book by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher, music and lyrics by The Bengsons, directed by Anne Kauffman, and movement direction by Sonya Tayeh, as the final production of its 2018/2019 season, to run September 22 - October 21 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Forum.
The world premiere of The Lovely Bones, one of the bestselling novels of the 21st century and now adapted for the stage by Bryony Lavery and directed by Melly Still, will open at Royal & Derngate, Northampton on 1 September 2018 before transferring to partner theatres Everyman Liverpool, Northern Stage, Newcastle and Birmingham Repertory Theatre. The show will also tour to The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.

The production, which will be directed by Sherman Theatre's Associate Director David Mercatali, will run from 12 Apr - 5 May at Wales's leading venue for new writing - which last week won The Stage's award for Best Regional Theatre.
The Menier Chocolate Factory, in association with Darren Bagert, today announces that Samuel Barnett (Molina) and Declan Bennett (Valentin) join the company of their new production of Manuel Puig's ground-breaking novel Kiss of the Spider Woman in a new adaptation by Jose Rivera and Allan Baker.
