Jones-Executive Director) is proud to announce a sparkling holiday production of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker featuring the renowned Paper Mill Orchestra. Paper Mill Playhouse and The New Jersey Ballet celebrate their 38th annual production, the only Nutcracker in the state of New Jersey with a live orchestra. Clara and her valiant Nutcracker Prince return to the stage along with the Sugar Plum Fairy, toy soldiers, villainous Mouse King and cast of over 90 performers. Stunning sets and an enormous Christmas tree light up the Paper Mill stage.

The classic book, The Velveteen Rabbit, comes to life through this new musical version of the tale using puppets, masked actors, and magic. The National Endowment for the Arts awarded a $60,000 grant to the National Alliance for Musical Theatre to support NAMT's Fall Conference and 21st annual Festival of New Musicals taking place in fall 2009. This is the highest donation that NAMT has received since its founding in 1985.

This February, THE STORY OF MY LIFE, a new musical comes to Broadway. Starring Will Chase (Rent, Aida, The Full Monty) and Tony Award nominee Malcolm Gets (Amour, Merrily We Roll Along, 'Caroline in the City'), the show is directed by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. (Ain't Misbehavin', Song & Dance), THE STORY OF MY LIFE features a score by Neil Bartram and a book by Brian Hill. Performances begin Tuesday, February 3rd on Broadway at The Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street). Opening night is Thursday, February 19th at 7:30PM.
