Marc Shaiman, Norm Lewis and More Set for DEBBIE GRAVITTE'S ALL-STAR HOLIDAY SHOW at Pace University, 12/8

On Saturday, December 8, Tony Award-winning songstress Debbie Gravitte returns to Pace Presents and The Michael Schimmel Center for a reprisal of last year's tremendously popular All-Star Holiday Show. Deemed 'one of the best voices on Broadway' by the Associated Press, Ms. Gravitte celebrates this winter holiday season with the support of a stellar team of Braodway veterans including academy Award-nominated, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winning composer Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, NBC's 'Smash,' Sleepless in Seattle, First Wives Club) as well as Broadway star and Tony-nominee Norm Lewis (Porgy and Bess, The Little Mermaid, Les Miserables) for this all-ages evening of holiday fun.

Shakespeare Theatre Celebrates Holidays with A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Now thru 12/30

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, kicks off its holiday season with William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Director Ethan McSweeny (Much Ado About Nothing, The Merchant of Venice) takes a fresh approach to this well-loved play filled with magic and wonder. The production runs at STC's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from tonight, November 15-December 30, 2012.

Pace University Presents Calpulli Mexican Dance Company, 11/3 & 4

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company brings its celebrated repertoire to Pace University's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts today, November 3 and Sunday November 4. The program includes the World Premiere of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the dead). This captivating work evokes the unending relationship between the living and the departed with music and dance as the language that transcends. Meticulous costuming, passionate live music, and larger than life surprises are in store.

PACE Presents Welcomes Justin Townes Earle, 10/26 & 27

Justin Townes Earle brings a contemporary eye to the Guthrie canon on the year of Woody Guthrie's centenary These concerts mark a unique step forward for Earle outside his popular club appearances as he curates multiple artist and multi-date shows in a performing arts hall. Each date will reveal a different side of both Earle and Guthrie; the show tonight, October 26 will be a three man affair with Earle performing beside his friends Joe Pug and John McCauley of the band Deer Tick. On October 27, Earle will perform alongside a full band with special guests Joe Pug and the band The Low Anthem. Special guest Joe Klein, political and music journalist, will read from his book Woody Guthrie: A Life at both shows.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for the Alley Theatre's production of November. November features Alley Theatre Resident Actors Jeffrey Bean as President Charles Smith, James Belcher as The Representative of the National Association of Turkey and Turkey Products, Elizabeth Bunch as Clarice Bernstein, David Rainey as Dwight Grackle, and Todd Waite as Archer Brown. November, by David Mamet and directed by Sanford Robbins, begins performances tonight, August 24, opens officially Wednesday, August 29, and runs through Sunday, September 23 on the Neuhaus Stage.

Shakespeare's Globe, American Showstoppers and More Set for Pace U's Pace Presents' 2012-13 Season

Pace University has announced the 2012 / 2013 season of Pace Presents, hosted at The Michael Schimmel Center for The Arts located at 3 Spruce Street between Park Row and Gold Street in downtown Manhattan. Pace Presents is a world-class performing arts and culture series with an emphasis on music superstars from around the globe, charismatic and crowd-pleasing dance performances, spectacular theatre and contemporary cabaret. The Pace Presents season begins on September 22 with Gypsy brass superstars Fanfare Ciocarlia and culminates on April 20 with Jazz's living treasure, Hugh Masekela.

StudentsLive Kicks Off First Multilingual Domestic & International 'Passport to Broadway' Program Today, 7/23

StudentsLive, the Premier Broadway Education Company, has announced its first-ever multilingual international and domestic "Passport to Broadway" Program for students from today, July 23, 2012 to August 3, 2012 at Pearl Studios and Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (MMAC). The musical theatre intensive final performance takes place over 10 days from approximately 8:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, at Pearl Studios led by Broadway Musical Directors, Choreographers and Interactive Intensives with Broadway Performers and Guest Artists.

STC's STRANGE INTERLUDE by Eugene O'Neill Closes Tonight, 4/29

Continuing its 25th Anniversary Season, the Shakespeare Theatre Company presents Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Strange Interlude. Directed by STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn, Strange Interlude runs at the Company's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) through tonight, April 29, 2012.
