THE 6th ACT presents a unique and multi-cultural look at one of the great literary characters of all time in William Shakespeare's HAMLET, directed by Matthew Leavitt and featuring June Carryl, Desiree Mee Jung, Luke McClure, Matt Orduna and Jonathan Slavin, ALL as the Prince of Denmark. HAMLET will preview today, October 25 at 8pm; and will open on Friday, October 26 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 18 at Theatre 68, 5112 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Orange County Music & Dance, a non-profit community performing arts school, founded by Pick Up Stix founder Charlie Zhang, created a once in a lifetime chance for underserved youth to learn and perform alongside professional musicians. Grammy-award winning bassist and producer Randy Jackson emceed the show. John Rzeznik, guitarist and front man of the Goo Goo Dolls, headlined the concert, performing several solos pieces, as well as songs with the youth musicians. Nancy Wilson of Heart performed!

After last year's incredible success, 'From Classical to Rock' has joined forces with the non-profit OC Music & Dance School to present a star-studded concert benefiting music education for Orange County communities. The Verdi Chorus celebrates its 35th anniversary with its Spring 2018 concert The Force of Destiny for two performances only at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica on April 28 and 29 led by Founding Artistic Director Anne Marie Ketchum. As the only choral group in Southern California that focuses primarily on the dramatic and diverse music for opera chorus, their program will feature selections from three Verdi operas - La forza del destino, Nabucco, including the famed chorus "Va, pensiero," the opening party scene of La traviata, and conclude with beloved melodies from Strauss' Die Fledermaus.

Reefer Madness, being staged by Conejo Players Theatre now through July 31, is inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name. This raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex, and violence.

This marks Jesse's first produced work. The collaboration between the two companies is a longtime in planning. Both companies pride themselves on nurturing and developing new works.

On June 30, it was announced that Tim Dang would be stepping down as Artistic Director of EWP in June 2016 and Marilyn Tokuda would be retiring at the same time. Proceeds of One Night Only benefit the artistic and educational programs of East West Players.

This production is presented with community partners the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center and AARP. The production features Fiona Cheung, Michael Hagiwara, Joseph Lim Kim, Klarissa Mesee, Joy Regullano, Janelle Toyomi-Dote, Grace Yoo.
