Sideshow Theatre Company launches its 2014/15 season with the Midwest premiere of STUPID f**kING BIRD, Aaron Posner's comic spin on Chekhov's The Seagull, directed by Artistic Director Jonathan L. Green, playing August 16 - September 21, 2014 at Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Jackalope Theatre Company, the Edgewater-based group which cultivates theatre that manifests the adventure deeply rooted in the American mythos, announces the first production in its sixth season. Jackalope's season begins with the world premiere of THE PEACOCK,written by Calamity West and directed Marti Lyons. It will play November 7 - December 8 at City Lit Theater, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr in Chicago. Tickets will be available starting October 15, through jackalopetheatre.org or by calling 773.340.2543. The Press Performance is Thursday, November 7 at 7:30pm.

Jackalope Theatre Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director AJ Ware, Associate Artistic Director Kaiser Ahmed, Managing Director Nate Silver, Director of Development & Community Engagement Andrew Burden Swanson, announces its 2013/14 season. The company's 6th season will feature the world premiere of Calamity West's The Peacock directed by Marti Lyons, the world premiere of Cory Hinkle's The Killing of Michael X: A New Film by Celia Wallace directed by Associate Artistic Director Kaiser Ahmed, and the world premiere of Ike Holter's Exit Strategy directed by Founding Company Member Gus Menary. The season will conclude with The 5th Annual Living Newspapers Festival, Jackalope's festival of short plays inspired by current American newspaper articles.

The play, directed by Sideshow artistic director Jonathan L. Green, is one of Sideshow's most ambitious projects to date, both for its artistic and technical challenges, and will conclude Sideshow's 2010-2011 season. Heddatron will run in repertory for 11 weeks starting February 11 through April 24, 2011, in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted St.
