Playwrights Horizons World Premiere of The Flick, a new play by Obie Award winner Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation at PH, The Aliens, her recent adaptation of Uncle Vanya), opened last night, March 12. Directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Kin and The Big Meal at PH; Seminar and Picnic on Broadway), the production will play through Sunday, March 31 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). The New Group presents the world premiere of Clive, written by Jonathan Marc Sherman and directed by and featuring Ethan Hawke in the title role. This production features Brooks Ashmanskas, Vincent D'Onofrio, Stephanie Janssen, Mahira Kakkar, Zoe Kazan, Aaron Krohn, Dana Lyn and Jonathan Marc Sherman, with Music and Sound Sculptures by GAINES. Clive plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through March 9 at The New Group at Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street). Anchor Bay Films kicks off the 2013 Sundance Film Festival with the pick-up of The Rambler starring Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend's Wedding, The Grey). Written and directed by Calvin Lee Reeder, the film is set to premiere on Monday, January 21st (11:59pm) during Park City at Midnight. The agreement covers theatrical, home entertainment, television and digital distribution rights in the North America, the U.K. and Australia. Today's announcement was made by Anchor Bay Entertainment's President Bill Clark.

AMERICAN PIE's Natasha Lyonne has signed on to star in Fox's upcoming, though still untitled, half-hour comedy revolving around two siblings. The project is written by MR. SUNSHINE creators Alex Barnow and Marc Firek.

Tonight, December 2, Rubicon Theatre Company will present a benefit performance of Love, Loss, and What I Wore with a star-studded cast of women including Emmy and Tony-winner Tyne Daly, Amy Peitz and Amanda McBroom.

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the 2013 Sundance Film Festival out-of-competition sections Spotlight, Park City at Midnight and New Frontier, as well as the installations and performances to be featured in the Festival's New Frontier venue. The Festival takes place January 17-27 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

The Madison Theatre at Molloy College of Rockville Centre, New York (Angelo Fraboni, Artistic Director), will present a benefit reading of Long Island Express Plays, written by Eugene Pack, on Sunday, October 28, at 3pm. The reading will star Noah Fleiss ("Fringe"), Helen Hanft (Moonstruck), Carol Kane ("Cheers," Princess Bride, "Taxi"), Natasha Lyonne (American Pie, "Weeds"), and Dayle Reyfel (Drama Desk Winner for Celebrity Autobiography).

Darren Stein is set to direct the indie film G.B.F. (Gay Best Friend), written by George Northy. Among the cast is Broadway actor Taylor Frey, who has appeared in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, South Pacific, Finian's Rainbow and the national tour of Hairspray.

According to Deadline.com, distribution rights to Imogene, the dysfunctional comedy film starring Kirsten Wiig and Annette Bening and featuring GLEE and How to Succeed Broadway star Darren Criss, have been bought by Lionsgate. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last weekend.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Natasha Lyonne will guest star in the series finale of Showtime's long-running drama series WEEDS.

On Monday, June 25th, The Trevor Project will honor Academy Award® winner, Susan Sarandon with the Trevor Hero Award, presented by Stanley Tucci. President of MTV, Stephen Friedman will also be on hand to accept the Trevor 2020 Award for MTV at "Trevor Live" in New York, (Pier 60, Chelsea Piers). This high-profile annual event benefits the life-saving, life-affirming work of The Trevor Project, providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) teens and young adults. The show will be directed by Tony Award® winner, Michael Mayer.
