Showtime to Offer Free Preview Weekend 1/11-13; Available To Over 80 Million Homes

SHOWTIME will be available in over 80 million households for a Free Preview Weekend from Friday, January 11 through Sunday, January 13, the network's biggest free preview audience ever. The network currently attracts 22 million subscribers and will be available to 58 million more, for one weekend only. Viewers across the country will have the opportunity to sample the premium network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME HD, SHOWTIME On Demand and SHOWTIME ANYTIME. The Free Preview weekend will include the series premieres of the critically-acclaimed hit series SHAMELESS, HOUSE OF LIES and CALIFORNICATION, live offerings from SHOWTIME Sports including ShoBox: The New Generation and STRIKEFORCE, and the television premieres of the blockbuster hit The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I and The Iron Lady, starring Meryl Streep in her Oscar winning role.

Californication returns for a new season on January 13th at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The sixth season stars David Duchovny in his Golden Globe®-winning role as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody. Moody continually struggles to be a good father to his college-aged daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for her mother, and his ex-girlfriend, Karen (Natascha McElhone). Two-Part Starz Encore Event THORNE Premieres Tonight, 6/12

'Thorne' is a two part ENCORE original event. 'Thorne: Sleepyhead' is a startling contemporary take on the thrilling, chilling, crime drama, adapted from Mark Billingham's bestselling novel 'Sleepyhead' (2001). Directed by Stephen Hopkins ('House of Lies,' '24') the series stars acclaimed actor David Morrissey ('The Walking Dead,' Centurion, State of Play) who plays the complex and compelling character Detective Inspector Tom Thorne. Morrissey is joined by cast members Natascha McElhone ('Californication'), Aidan Gillen ('The Wire') and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes). While investigating a series of unusual attacks on young women, Thorne finds himself dragged back into the nightmares of his past as he races against time to find a mysterious serial killer. His first three victims are found dead. The fourth victim, Alison Willetts, survived an excruciating attack and is unlucky to be alive. Thorne knows that there are more deaths to come, as the killer enjoys toying with Thorne just as much as he gets a thrill out of pursuing his sick fantasy.

OLIVIERS 2012: Elaine Paige, Zach Braff, James McAvoy & More to Present Awards!

The 36th Olivier Awards with MasterCard will offer a star-studded night of awards and exclusive entertainment at the Royal Opera House on Sunday 15 April hosted by West End stars Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. CALIFORNICATION to Get Broadway Treatment Next Season

Showtime's 'Californication' will get the Broadway treatment next season, according to TVLine's, Micheal Ausiello. Ausiello writes: 'Hank's going to get Smash'd. That is, a storyline in which his novel gets turned into a Broadway musical might make the Showtime series briefly resemble the NBC series.'
