Tony Award nominated actress Debbie Allen will direct the new musical TWIST at the Alliance Theatre from September 1 through October 3 as a part of the 2010-2011 season.

Asolo Repertory Theatre today announced adding a new title to its Asolo Rep Extras series, An Intimate Evening with Frank Wildhorn & Friends. The starry concert features composer Frank Wildhorn at the piano along with some of Broadway's finest voices. Further details will be announced soon. The show, to be held on December 21st at 8 p.m. in the Mertz Theatre, replaces the Holiday concert originally scheduled. Details and prices will soon be released latter this month. The Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart launch their beloved Holiday five-city concert series throughout the Northeast on December 4 in Storrs, CT, sharing a New England holiday tradition with audiences throughout the region.

Coinciding with a PBS special and following a critically acclaimed performance on "Dancing with the Stars," Benise brings his live stage production of The Spanish Guitar to the Palace Theatre.

Pizzarelli's performance will feature music from his latest album, Rockin' in Rhythm, a tribute to jazz pianist/composer Duke Ellington, whom Pizzarelli calls 'jazz's greatest star!' Songs such as 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore,' 'I'm Beginning to See the Light,' 'Satin Doll' and 'In My Solitude' are re-interpreted with Pizzarelli's trademark style and personality, but with great respect towards the original compositions.

THE SPANISH GUITAR is an epic tale that will transport the audience to exotic places with video, new songs, and an ever changing set. Benise's new show will feature his guitar as protagonist, as it becomes the keeper of the stories of glory and tragedy through times and world's gone by.
