Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, has acquired the domestic rights to DANGER ONE, a dark comedy/action film directed by Tom Oesch and written by Steffen Schlachtenhaufen. DANGER ONE was produced by Mythmaker Productions (which also produced the slasher thriller Reaper and the hit real estate satire Pocket Listing) and Silvatar Media (which also produced the horror thriller The Pyramid and the spine-tingler Removal). Producers include Dwjuan Fox, Naji Jurdi, Mark James, James Jurdi, Bradley A. Jabour, Michael S. Klein, Victor Najjarian, Saud Shawwaf, Chady Eli Mattar, Scott C. Silver, and David Willing. The film, which stars Tom Everett Scott, James Jurdi, Angelica Celaya, Damon Dayoub, and Denis O'Hare, will hit select theaters nationwide on September 143th, 2018.

MASTERS OF ILLUSION, produced by Associated Television International and hosted by Dean Cain, now celebrating its fifth anniversary on The CW returns for Week Eight with two 30-minute episodes airing back to back on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 8:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. Central.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents three concerts with violist Richard Yongjae O'Neill, its artist in residence.  O'Neill will lead three programs - on Saturday September 8, he performs Schubert and Beethoven in a program title Homage with the Ehnes Quartet; on Sunday, March 3 he performs a program of British composers -- Britten, Bowen, Bridge, Carter and Clarke with pianist Steven Lin; and he closes with a program called L.A. Masters with works by Stravinsky, Schoenberg and Brahms with Jennifer Frautschi (violin), Jesse Mills (violin), Fred Sherry (cello), and Orion Weiss (piano).

MTV today announced global superstar Nicki Minaj will return to the 'VMAs' in a special performance, presented by PEPSI(R), from an iconic location in New York. This will mark Minaj's debut performance after the release of her highly anticipated album, 'Queen.' It will also be the first time a major awards show will televise a performance from the surprise location.

[Liberating Artistic Bravery] Residency Program, which is comprised of threesignature programs: I Am Soul Playwright Residency withDarrel Alejandro Holnes& Tracey Conyer Lee; Soul Producing Residency with Emana Rachelle; and NBT will be launching this year the Soul Directing Residency with Ebony Noelle Golden. Through The L.A.B., NBT is able to strengthen the artistic relationship between historic Black theatrical institutions and cutting edge artists and administrators. The goal of The L.A.B. is to help diversify the narratives and possibilities being developed and produced about Black lifestyle in American theatre.

Under the new expanded agreement, iQIYI will have exclusive streaming rights for Mandarin and English Nickelodeon programming in mainland China on iQIYI's platforms for kids, which will see an anticipated four-fold increase of content from their previous deal.

NBC Sports Group steps on the gas for its seventh week of live 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series racing, with more than 16 hours of trackside coverage from Michigan International Speedway, in Brooklyn, Mich., and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio. MTV today announced that Travis Scott and Post Malone will take the stage at the 2018 “VMAs.” Scott will debut his first solo performance with a medley of hits from his highly anticipated, chart-topping, recently released album, “Astroworld,” and Malone will perform a song from his record-breaking album 'Beerbongs & Bentleys,' which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart.
