Thursday, October 27th- R.Evolución Latina's 4th Annual Dance-A-Thon raised $53,811, doubling last years total after 6 weeks of fundraising. Donors, volunteers, supporters and Broadway performers joined fundraisers on Saturday October 22nd as they completed their commitment to dance for 5 hours at Slate NYC. Online contributions continued through the day as artists, RL campers and community members came together to celebrate music and dance from the past 6 decades starting with the 1950s.

A classic holiday favorite undergoes a modern spin as the beloved The Nutcracker will transform the New Jersey Performing Arts Center stage into an invigorating hip hop spectacle.
Ordway Center for the Performing Arts announced today it will present The Hip Hop Nutcracker, Nov. 24-25. The show comes to the Ordway on its first international tour, shortly after sold-out performances in New Jersey and New York. Holiday magic is coming to New York City's most enchanting theatre when The Hip Hop Nutcracker makes its debut at the United Palace, Manhattan's 4th largest theatre, on Sunday, December 7 at 5pm. The Hip Hop Nutcracker is directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber of the Brooklyn-based all femalle hip-hop company Decadancetheatre, and is adapted to contemporary New York City by Mike Fitelson. The production is set to Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker with hip hop interludes remixed and re-imagined by DJ Boo and violinist Filip Pogády.
