Bucks County Playhouse has announced their Founders Day Diamond Jubilee, a festive community gathering on Monday evening, June 30, 2014 at 7 pm to commemorate the first 75 years of the Playhouse. The evening will begin with the debut of a new film: Straw Hat Cinderella: Bucks County Playhouse at 75. Narrated by stage and screen star Marsha Mason, the film features historic photographs, paintings and drawings and commentary by curator David Leopold, Playhouse producer Alexander Fraser, Michener Director and CEO Lisa Hanover, and painter Robert Beck. ACT ONE's Beowulf Boritt has won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play. Act One marks Boritt's LCT debut. His Broadway credits include The Scottsboro Boys (Tony nomination), Sondheim on Sondheim, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, LoveMusik, Rock of Ages, Chaplin, Bronx Bombers, Grace, The Two and Only.

Lincoln Center Theater's Tony Award-nominated production of ACT ONE, written and directed by James Lapine from the autobiography by Moss Hart, will be filmed for Live from Lincoln Center for an anticipated broadcast on PBS at a future date, it has just been announced. ACT ONE which is up for 5 Tony Awards this Sunday, including Best Play, runs through June 15 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

For its tenth season, the Northern New England Repertory Theatre Company (NNE Rep) presents George Bernard Shaw's romantic comedy Arms and the Man on the Sawyer Center stage at Colby-Sawyer College. In this delicious romantic confection, Shaw's barbed wit targets themes of love, honor, and illusions, and serves up laughs aplenty at the foibles of human nature. NNE Rep's production of Arms and the Man will run for seven performances from today, June 5th through June 14th.

Bucks County Playhouse has announced Marsha Mason has joined the cast of its new production of Ira Levin's Deathtrap, directed by Evan Cabnet. Mason, who is currently directing the Playhouse production of Neil Simon's Chapter Two that begins performances tonight, will play the role of the mysterious Helga Ten Dorp. The full cast and creative team will be announced shortly for the comedy thriller that begins performances Thursday, June 19.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will present South Pacific from June 12-22 at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452). South Pacific will open Reagle's 46th Annual Summer Season, followed by Me and My Girl (July 10-20) and Singin' In the Rain (August 7-17).

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, welcomes Broadway stars Billy Porter, Victoria Clark, Terrence Mann, Andrea Martin and Shuler Hensley as gala award presenters for the 64th Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards ceremony tonight, May 22nd (4PM) at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant. In addition to being acclaimed stage performers, the stars are also former recipients of the esteemed Outer Critics Circle Award. The national organization will post award winners in 24 Broadway/Off-Broadway categories.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston announces a trio of Tony Award-winning musicals for its 46th consecutive summer season at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452). South Pacific, the Rodgers and Hammerstein masterpiece about love and stereotypes set against the backdrop of a lush tropical island during WWII, opens the season June 12-22. Me and My Girl, the joyously funny story of an unrefined cockney gent who must choose between love or money, runs July 10-20. The season closes with a drenching revival of Reagle's IRNE-award winning production of Singin' in the Rain from August 7-17.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director, Andre Bishop) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically-acclaimed production of THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Doug Hughes, through Sunday, July 6 at the Mitzi E.
