West Side Story, one of the greatest love stories of all time, opens on the Ogunquit Playhouse stage September 4 through September 28. This all new production of the timeless classic, helmed by Broadway veteran director BT McNicholl, mesmerizes audiences of all ages from the first note to the final breath. The Bernstein and Sondheim score is considered to be one of Broadway's finest and features beloved American musical theatre classics including "Something's Coming," "Tonight," "America," "I Feel Pretty" and "Somewhere." With a set designed exclusively for the Ogunquit Playhouse by Michael Schweikardt, an extraordinary cast and an iconic score soaring throughout, theatre goers will fall in love with West Side Story all over again.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has announced Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show as the Playhouse's Fall production. Featuring direction by Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster and choreography by Lorin Latarro, The Rocky Horror Show will run from October 23rd through November 2nd. Special late night showings will take place on October 25, 26, 30, 31 and November 2, beginning at 11:30 p.m.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) previously announced that acclaimed actress Marilu Henner (Original Broadway production of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Television's 'Taxi') joins the cast of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife by Charles Busch, the final production of the 2013 Playhouse Productions Summer Season. She will be joined by the previously announced Marsha Mason, David Garrison, and Lynn Cohen. Four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines directs. Performances begin tonight, August 15th and run through September 1st at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street, New Hope, PA).

The award-winning Company Theatre announces the premiere of an annual Winter Shorts Play Festival, featuring original ten-minute short plays submitted and selected from the New England playwright community. Playwrights are invited to submit their original work to be considered for inclusion on or before September 5, 2013. The one-day festival will premiere on Saturday, February 1, 2014, with performances at 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm, featuring works written on the theme of "Winter Heat: plays that explore the playfulness, passion, pleasure, and power of interpersonal relationships".

Today in 1980, the first Broadway revival of Camelot opened at the New York State Theatre, where it ran for 56 performances. Camelot is a musical by Alan Jay Lerner (book and lyrics) and Frederick Loewe (music). It is based on the King Arthur legend as adapted from the T. H. White tetralogy novel The Once and Future King. The original 1960 production, directed by Moss Hart and orchestrated by Robert Russell Bennett and Philip J. Lang, ran on Broadway for 873 performances, winning four Tony Awards and spawning several revivals, foreign productions and a 1967 film version. The 1980 cast starred Richard Burton, Christine Ebersole, and Richard Muenz.
