The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, has announced the complete cast for the New2NY Series presentation of the new musical How to Be an American!, a political cabaret based on Plunkitt of Tammany Hall-A Series of Very Plain Talks on Very Practical Politics, adapted by T. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, announced today the establishment of The Riki and Bob Larimer Fund, a major gift in the amount of $500,000 to be given over a 5-year period and to be put toward the development of new works for the York stage, and marketing initiatives.

With a small yet stellar cast directed by Pamela Hunt and finishing the Playhouse's 90th season as its final full length production of the summer, there is so much to love about this production of Christie's classic The Mousetrap. From enigmatic characters, all whom are just about self-incriminatingly suspicious from the very start, to a plot that you will try your utmost to decipher while the facts are laid out bare before you, Hunt and her cast have truthfully really created quite the masterpiece with this production

Broadway Records enters the studio today to record the original New York cast recording of Cagney, which will be released digitally and at the theatre on Friday, September 30, 2016, and in stores on October 14th.

Robert Cuccioli and Glory Crampton reunited at a special gathering for the official release of the new cast recording of the York Theatre Company production of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, and Sherman Yellen's musical Rothschild & Sons last night, July 25, at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The event featured appearances by cast members Mr. Cuccioli and Ms. Crampton, along with Sheldon Harnick, Sherman Yellen, Jeffrey B. Moss, and James Morgan, York's Producing Artistic Director. This very same week, CAGNEY, the new hit musical about James Cagney, plays its 117th performance at The Westside Theatre, upstairs. This afternoon, Wednesday, June 29, CAGNEY, the new hit musical about Hollywood's tough guy in tap shoes,will celebrate its 100th performance at the Westside Theatre, upstairs. CAGNEY had its official opening on April 3, 2016 following 21 preview performances.

Following the announcement of the 2016 Helpmann Award Nominations and news that the Royal Shakespeare Company's Australian Production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL has received a record thirteen nominations, it was announced last night that the production will play a season in Adelaide from May 20 2017, following seasons in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne, where Matilda is currently playing to packed houses.
