The Broadway production of GODSPELL will host a special performance to benefit The Actors Fund on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 8pm. The Actors Fund will also be on hand to celebrate THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA's 10,000th Broadway performance on Saturday, February 11 at 2pm.

The New Broadway Cast Recording of the revival of GODSPELL is being released digitally today, December 20, 2011 on Ghostlight Records. The New Broadway Cast Recording of the revival of GODSPELL will be released digitally today, December 20, 2011 on Ghostlight Records. Produced by Stephen Schwartz, Michael Holland and Kurt Deutsch with Executive Producer Ken Davenport, the CD will be available in stores on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.

Godspell's Julia Mattison is joined by fellow cast members from Broadway's Godspell, in a holiday comedy rock show at the Beechman on December 19th. The concert will debut a number of new twisted holiday tunes, with songs like "Frostbite! Awesome!" and "Santa is the Ultimate Creeper". Mattison and friends will bring the laughs with these new tunes and some fresh takes on old classics.

York Theatre Company announced today that on Monday, December 19, 2011, they will be offering one free ticket to the first performance of Ionescopade, a "musical vaudeville" (7:00 p.m. on January 23) to the first 100 people who donate a toy to Toys for Tots at the theatre that day.

The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan- Producing Artistic Director) will present a new production of the rarely performed Ionescopade, a 'musical vaudeville,' the first in an exciting roster of works for the York's 2012 Season. Ionescopade, taken from the works of Eugene Ionesco, features music and lyrics by Mildred Kayden and was originally conceived by Robert Allan Ackerman. Ionescopade will begin performances January 23, 2012, with an official opening night set for February 2 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th St, just east of Lexington Avenue.

Broadway's new production of GODSPELL has partnered with the 2011 New York Cares Coat Drive. The GODSPELL initiative - dubbed the "Give Him Your Coat As Well" Coat Drive - takes place now through Saturday, December 31at Circle in the Square Theatre.

The 40th Anniversary production and first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's rock musical GODSPELL officially opened at the Circle in the Square Theater on November 7. The cast of the show spent some time in the recording studio last month to work on a new cast album, and according to Amazon.com, it will be released on January 31, 2012. It is currently available for pre-order.
