Improv Melbourne Announces LATE NIGHT IMPRO & CELEBRITY THEATRESPORTS

Impro Melbourne presents two shows for this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival: Late Night Impro and Celebrity Theatresports. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival will celebrate its 28th year in 2014 and is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

Ed Mooney Releases TEARS FOR CAMBODIA

Lt. Colonel Max Donatello left the military decades ago, but his experiences serving in Cambodia never left him. As the story in this new novel relays, his beloved wife, Emily, left him after years of marriage because he refused to share his pain or get professional help that might allow him to move beyond the trauma of his past. Now Max and his children, Chris and Melissa, are grieving Emily's untimely death, and Max finds himself reliving past mistakes and looking for a way to make his future (and his relationships with his children) better.

Mark Torres to Star in Penobscot Theatre Company's GOD OF CARNAGE, 3/13-30

Penobscot Theatre Company will welcome former Artistic Director Mark Torres back to Bangor for a lead role in the upcoming production of GOD OF CARNAGE, which will run March 13-30. 'During this special 40th-anniversary season, it is a privilege to reengage an artist who has contributed so much to the company's rich history,' said current Artistic Director Bari Newport. 'Mark is bringing passion, creativity, and extraordinary talent to this production, as he did for so many years at the helm of this organization.'

ICT to Present FLYIN' WEST, 3/14-4/6

Four African-American women journey west to the all-black town of Nicodemus, Kansas in search of the freedom promised by the end of the Civil War. Saundra McClain directs Pearl Cleage's powerful historical drama Flyin' West, opening March 14 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews take place on March 12 and March 13.

Part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from Thursday 27 March - Saturday 12 April at Melbourne Town Hall - Mini Main, Mooney's stand-up will expose the white lies men spin to get through marriage, parenthood and their careers.

CHICAGO Extends Through 3/2 at Coronado Playhouse

Sold out audiences have filled Coronado Playhouse since CHICAGO'S opening last month. The show has now been extended for one more week with performances continuing until Sunday March 2, 2014.

HARMONY Begins Rehearsals Tomorrow at the Ahmanson in LA

Rehearsals begin tomorrow, February 11, 2014, for Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman's 'Harmony,' A New Musical, which opens March 12, 2014, at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre and plays through April 13. (Previews begin March 4.)

Palm Beach County Interior Designers Spotlighted in Cultural Council Exhibition, 1/30-3/29

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County will feature the work of nine Palm Beach County interior designers in 'Interior Design: The Florida Room,' an exhibition of vignettes that interpret the classic Florida living space. The exhibition will open with a preview party on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and will continue through March 29. Tickets to the preview party are $10 for general admission and free to Cultural Council members. The exhibition, which opens to the public on January 31, is free.

This is a world premiere of an adaptation by Austin Pendleton and the acting company drawing on Marian Fell's translation. Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, the play looks at family and friends pursuing the American dream of fame, love, and fortune in Hollywood, the land of dreams. Chekhov's sense of humor along with his tender and honest look at life is explored through the terrain of this family and their circle's life in Hollywood from 1969-1971.
