The Palm Springs Cultural Center announces a new addition to its annual line-up of cultural programs and special events -- The Stanley Kramer Film Festival will debut at Camelot Theatres today, November 15th and run through Sunday, November 17th. The 2013 event, which is designed to coincide with other Stanley Kramer Centennial events taking place this year, will include special screenings of six of Stanley Kramer's best-known films. It will also feature special events, and special appearances with actress Karen Sharpe Kramer, Stanley Kramer's widow, and his daughter, the actress and singer, Katharine 'Kat' Kramer.

Tim Rice's FROM HERE TO ETERNITY began previews at the Shaftesbury Theatre on 30 September, starring Darius Campbell (Chicago, West End) as Warden, Siubhan Harrison (Grease, West End) as Lorene, Robert Lonsdale (Anna Christie, Donmar Warehouse) as Prewitt, Ryan Sampson (Open Court, Royal Court) as Maggio and Rebecca Thornhill (South Pacific, UK tour) as Karen. West Palm Beach's only professional multi-award-winning resident theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, will launch Dramalogue --- a new series that explores working in the theatre --- beginning Tuesday, December 10 live onstage at The Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). Produced by Mark Perlberg and Sponsored by Nancy and Jay Parker, this new series will consist of conversations and presentations spotlighting iconic theatre artists and professionals. Presentations will include a range of scene readings, video clips and, where applicable, musical numbers, as well as one-on-one interviews. The series will run on select Tuesdays thru April 8th, 2014.

Tonight, October 4th at 9pm, Monty Clift, The Rarest of Birds, a one-man play about the work and life of Montgomery Clift, will be presented as part of the 2013 United Solo Theatre Festival.

The Museum will present 39 features. All of the films will be shown in 35mm-many in stunning restorations-except for Red Line 7000, which will be shown in 16mm.

A packed audience at tonight's opening performance of Hello Dolly! was treated to the official announcement from Artistic Director Robert J. Farley of Georgia Ensemble Theatre's (GET) 2013-2014 Season. The selections are: Almost Heaven: John Denver's America written and adapted by Peter Glazer, Deathrap by Ira Levin, the world premiere of The Only Light in Reno by Topher Payne, F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby adapted for the stage by Simon Levy, and Camelot by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. Georgia Ensemble Theatre is the Official Resident Professional Theatre Company at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center in historic Roswell, Georgia.

The new Broadway revival of The Heiress will play its final performance, having recouped its $3 million capitalization, tonight, February 9, at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have just announced that the production will recoup its $3 million capitalization during the final week of performances. The final performance is on Saturday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time) at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W. 48th St. NYC). THE HEIRESS will have played 27 previews and 117 regular performances.

The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have announced that the production will now play its final performance on Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time). The previously scheduled Sunday, February 10 closing performance has been cancelled to enable Jessica Chastain, who plays the title character, to attend the BAFTA Awards (the British equivalent to the Academy Awards) where she is nominated for Best Actress on Sunday, February 10th in London. Ms. Chastain is nominated for an Academy Award and has already received Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for her performance in the film Zero Dark Thirty. THE HEIRESS is currently playing at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W. 48th St. NYC).
