Written by award-winning Iranian playwright, Soleimanpour, this experimental theatrical event has been performed around the world but no one is allowed to talk about it.

Founder and Artistic Director Denis Brott unveils the Montreal Chamber Music Festival's 24th season. This year, 2019, is the first of a three-year project to celebrate the life of the great Ludwig van Beethoven. Denis Brott comments: As a result of a unique alignment of musical stars in 2020 Ludwig's 250th birthday and the Festival's 25th anniversary I have put together Beethoven Chez Nous! Moved by Regina Louise and her harrowing story navigating the broken system, Bishop T.D. Jakes has joined the movie as an executive producer to bring additional attention to the need for foster care reform.

Soul Rep Theatre Company's Curtains Rising! 12th season will close with the regional premiere production of playwright, Katori Hall's gritty award winning drama about gentrification, HURT VILLAGE. The production will run May 2 - 4 and May 9 - 11 at the South Dallas Cultural Center, located at 3400 S. Fitzhugh Avenue, adjacent to Fair Park. Katori Hall is an Olivier Award-winning playwright from Memphis, Tennessee. HURT VILLAGE, the fourth in her series of 'Memphis Plays,' is currently being developed into a feature film.

Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today the talent lineup for the seventh annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 7.30pm at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space (44 Charlton Street). A VIP Reception begins at 6pm, doors open at 6.45pm. The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors have selected Rita Moreno as the recipient of the Peabody Career Achievement Award, presented by Mercedes-Benz. The honor is reserved for individuals whose work and commitment to electronic media has left an indelible mark on the field. The Peabody Awards are based at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.
FIAF Presents US Theatrical Releases of Two New French Films

Building on a legacy of introducing treasures of Francophone cinema to New York audiences, the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) will present first-run US theatrical releases of two new French films this spring: Eva Husson's Girls of the Sun, a riveting story of a female battalion fighting against ISIS (April 12–14 and 19–21); and the thriller My Sonby writer/director Christian Carion (Joyeux Noel) on May 10–12 and 17–19.

Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company(Artistic Director Tom Ross) announces today the six plays that will comprise the theatre's 28th season, beginning with the Bay Area Premiere of Ike Holter's energetic drama, EXIT STRATEGY. The Bay Area premiere of Bryna Turner's BULL IN A CHINA SHOP follows. Lucy Kirkwood's recent Broadway hit THE CHILDREN will kick off the new year as a West Coast Premiere, followed by Joe Orton's classic LOOT in a production honoring the playwright's unseen and uncensored version.
