Photo Flash: THIS IS ME Celebrates Opening Night Off-Broadway

On March 17th, the cast and creative team of This is Me put on a hilarious show for a very excited audience, that could not stop laughing at all the jokes and ridiculous moments the play has to offer.

The performance was done at The Actors Temple, in the heart of Theater Row in Times Square. The doors opened an hour before the actors came out on stage, with a reception that entertained guests with a selection of wine and food, creating a happy and fun atmosphere, with music of female pop artists playing in the background.

The play lasted 90 minutes but it went by fast, going hand in hand with the speed and rhythm of the writing. Barbara Bernardi wrote a moving, heartfelt and outrages comedy, that focuses on female issues, but can also relate to everyone, men too.

Directed by Yudelka Heyer, specific choices were made with lighting and sound that increased the quirkiness of the characters; adding moments were these women became children and teenagers again, to full on panic attacks overlapping with drunkenness.

With a final closing moment that left the audience connecting even more with the ladies on stage, we can say that This is Me is a must see for the future; we can't wait to see where this moving piece will go.
