Broadway Impact presented the final installment of 'Broadway Impact's Summer Concert Series at Joe's Pub' last night, August 23. This monthly concert featured cast members from Broadway shows, highlighting the theatre community's ongoing commitment to marriage equality. High School Musical alum and IN THE HEIGHTS star Corbin Bleu will visit Seth's Broadway Chatterbox tomorrow, August 19, at 6:00 PM. In addition to Bleu's starring role as Chad Danforth in Disney's High School Musical franchise, including two television movies and one big screen feature, Bleu has appeared on the CW's The Beautiful Life. He joined the Broadway company of IN THE HEIGHTS as Usnavi on January 25, 2010 and played his final performance last night, August 17.

The best of Broadway was presented free on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2010' - a lunchtime series which began on Thursday, July 8th at 12:30pm on the Bryant Park Stage and ended yesterday, August 12. The series, which just completed its 10 season, was sponsored by Bank of America and JCPenney 33rd & 6th, and washosted by Lite fm's on-air personalities.

Alysha Umphress and cast members from AMERICAN IDIOT will visit Seth's Broadway Chatterbox tonight, August 12, at 6:00 PM. Off-Broadway, Umphress has appeared in Make Me a Song (the music of William Finn). She is a three-time MAC Award nominee for best female jazz vocalist and is making her Broadway debut in AMERICAN IDIOT.

With a major performance at the Hollywood Bowl quickly approaching, Broadway veteran Harry Connick Jr. confessed to the LA Times that he prefers not to plan ahead for performances. As he once said in regards to his recent Broadway engagement, 'It would kill me if anyone who saw this show twice saw the same thing.' While he plans to include different songs for each performance at the Hollywood Bowl, Connick will definitely be incorporating classics from his Grammy-nominated album, 'Your Songs'.

Real life New Jersey couple, 27 year olds Sharyn Krum and Paul Fontana, lived out their Broadway fairytale by getting married on stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre yesterday, August 9, 2010. They found common ground over their shared love of Rock of Ages and were married by the newly ordained, and their favorite, Rock of Ages character 'Lonny' (played by Mitchell Jarvis). The Broadway cast were guests at the ceremony and reception.
