From April 1-8, The New School will present its first arts festival, which will explore the relevance of the classic genre of Noir and evaluate its meaning today. The festival will include iconic films, hard-boiled storytelling, graphic art, and music inspired by this quintessential American style.

Sienna Miller, James Purefoy and Sheridan Smith lead the cast in Terence Rattigan's Flare Path at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, directed by Trevor Nunn. Set and costumes are by Stephen Brimson Lewis with light by Paul Pyant, sound by Paul Groothuis and projection design by Jack James. Flare Path is produced by Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions, Theatre Royal Haymarket Company, Act Productions Ltd and Tom McKitterick.

Theatre In The Park Brings Shakespeare Back With MACBETH

Shakespeare returns to Theatre In The Park with the production of one of The Bard's most famous tragedies, Macbeth, February 5th - 16th.
'Fair is foul, foul is fair.' Power. Greed. Madness. A masterpiece of tragedy, amid the violence and war torn locales and characters, Shakespeare offers frightening and astonishing insights into the passion for political and military power, and the consequences of corrupting power and ambition unchecked by morality or conscience.
Ira David Wood III directs a modern spin on this tale of unchecked ambition, setting the play in a post-apocalyptic world and utilizing multimedia as well as embracing the theatre's oldest tradition of performing in masks.
Featuring Ira David Wood III as Macbeth and Lynda Clark as the conniving Lady Macbeth, this Theatre In The Park production will excite and frighten Shakespeare lovers and laymen alike.

This fall, New York City celebrates the 90th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein's birth with a three-month long festival of his work presented by Carnegie Hall and the New York Philharmonic. But if you want to see Bernstein's Peter Pan, you'll have to visit Santa Barbara.
The Santa Barbara Theatre proudly announces the first American revival of Leonard Bernstein's Peter Pan. SBT artistic director Albert Ihde directs 12 performances at the Lobero Theatre, December 19 to 28, with two low-priced previews on December 17 and 18.
