The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) will present Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre this month in BAC's Howard Gilman Performance Space. Performances will be held as originally scheduled tonight, April 18 and 19, Thursday and Friday at 7:30pm, with an additional, third performance now scheduled for Thursday, April 18 at 9:30pm.

New York Live Arts is set to present several Re: Awakenings performances as part of the inaugural Live Ideas festival. New York Live Arts' newest program initiative, Live Ideas is an annual humanities festival that will explore a different theme each year over several days. The inaugural festival, The Worlds of Oliver Sacks, will take place from today, April 17 through 21, 2013 and is comprised of more than 20 events, including performances, films and discussions that showcase works of art and spark conversations that engage the prevalent themes in the acclaimed neurologist's works.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced the addition of a sixth mainstage production, plus two intriguing presentations to complete the 2013-2014 Season. The Stephen Sondheim musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will round out the mainstage season while South Africa's Mies Julie and Baryshnikov Productions' Man in a Case will both be part of the STC Presents Series.

The School of American Ballet's 2013 Winter Ball: A Night in the Far East at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater on Monday, March 11, 2013 raised more than $1.1 million for scholarships and school programs. The evening, sponsored by legendary French Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, began with cocktails at 7pm and dinner at 8pm, followed by a one-time-only performance, and The Encore dessert and dancing.

The Golden Dragon Acrobats hail from Cangzhou, Hebei province, in the People's Republic of China and have toured the United States continuously since 1978. Its members are athletes, actors and artists who have studied and trained for their craft since early childhood. The group averages 200 performances each year and has toured through all 50 states and in over 65 countries across the world. In 2005, their Broadway debut and seven-week run at the New Victory Theater earned two prestigious New York Drama Desk Awards nominations (for Best Choreography and Most Unique Theatrical Experience).
