Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. has been invited to perform at all of this year's major American music festivals, from a prime slot at the eclectic Bonnaroo (where he also appeared during the day last year), to the alternative mainstays Coachella and Montreal's Osheaga Festival, to the indie rock-driven Sasquatch!, to the NOLA Jazz & Heritage Festival, plus many other top-line festivals whose line-ups will be announced in the coming weeks.

THE BLUES SUMMIT, featuring The Taj Mahal Trio, with special guests James Montgomery and Duke Robillard. The event happens on Friday, August 17, 8:00pm, at the Capitol Center for the Arts, Concord, and is the second installment of Child and Family Services' 2012 Concerts for the Cause season.

Peter Asher, member of 60's British pop group Peter and Gordon and executive at Apple and Sony records brings his acclaimed show 'Peter Asher: A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond' to the Capitol Center for the Arts' Spotlight Café on Friday, August 10 at 8pm.

The two-time Grammy Award winner for "Producer of the Year" first rose to international acclaim through the global smash 'World Without Love' as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon, Peter moved effortlessly to Music Executive with The Beatles' Apple Records, then famously to producer and manager, handling the careers of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and a host of others. Among his more recent projects is the upcoming Dreamworks movie Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. In addition to producing the soundtrack, he performs the film's only original song "Love Always Comes As A Surprise," co-written with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, which he will also perform at Feinstein's.

In the final sketch of the season finale of NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, Kristen Wiig bade a fond farewell to the show where she has been a cast member for the the past seven years. While no formal announcement has been made by the network as to which cast members will return next season, the sketch served as a moving send off to the popular comedian.
