In the final sketch of the season finale of NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, Kristen Wiig bade a fond farewell to the show where she has been a cast member for the the past seven years. While no formal announcement has been made by the network as to which cast members will return next season, the sketch served as a moving send off to the popular comedian.

Set at a high school graduation, host Mick Jagger began the sketch by saying, “Well another year has come and gone, and I just want to say how proud I am of this graduating class. Many of you are moving on to college, but I’d like to take the time to say goodbye to one particular student who is leaving this summer.” As Wiig came up to the stage appearing to be holding back tears, Jagger added, “You meant quite a lot to us over the past seven years, she got held back, so our musical department got together and prepared a song to say goodbye.”

Wiig, along with executive producer Lorne Michaels danced and sang to The Rolling Stones’ “She’s a Rainbow” and “Ruby Tuesday,” which includes the line, “still I’m gonna miss you.” By the end of the sketch, cast members and SNL alum came up on stage as Wiig blew kisses.

Among Wiig’s memorable characters on SNL are Penelope and The Target Lady. The comedian starred in and co-wrote the Oscar nominated film, Bridesmaids, and has six more films in the works. Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis have also been rumored to be leaving the show after the current season, although no announcement has been made.
