Funny, outrageous, emotionally affecting and occasionally angry ... Eve Ensler's wildly popular series of monologues about women and performed by women is back for the sixteenth year with the Roxy Regional Theatre's presentation of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, January 12 - January 27.

Charles M. Schulz's A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Thursday, November 23, at 7:00pm. In keeping with the theatre's opening night pay-what-you-can tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 6:30pm that evening for a $5 minimum donation. As an Black Friday bonus, pay-what-you-can tickets will also be available for the 8:00pm performance on Friday, November 24, beginning at 7:30pm that evening.

'Ah, what fools these mortals be!' An annual tradition at the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville takes a twist this fall with the Roxy Regional Theatre's production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM: The Musical, opening Friday, November 3, at 8:00pm.

Take a little rock 'n' roll, throw in a thunderstorm and a flat tire, mix it with a creepy castle inhabited by a mad scientist, a muscle hunk and a handful of other questionable characters ... and you have the recipe for a night out you will never forget!

Catch a glimpse of the lives of three women who dream of becoming country-music divas in The Honky Tonk Angels, playing at Sierra Repertory's Fallon House Theatre in April and May. First staged by Sierra Rep in 2004, this musical comedy features three heroines: a dirt-poor farm girl, an exasperated housewife and a fed-up secretary. They don't have much in common at first, until each finds the nerve to leave home and take a chance on making it big in country music in Nashville.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING plays at 8pm on March 7, 8, 14 and 15, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday, March 15. This year, Leslie Greene, Michelle Foletta and Adriane Wiley-Hatfield take the stage of the Roxy's theotherspace in readings of these monologues based on interviews Eve Ensler conducted with 200 women about their views on sex, relationships, and violence against women. An Obie Award-winning whirlwind tour of a forbidden zone, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who 'liked to look at it.' In an interview with women.com, Ensler said that her fascination with vaginas began because of 'growing up in a violent society.' 'Women's empowerment is deeply connected to their sexuality.' She also stated, 'I'm obsessed with women being violated and raped, and with incest. All of these things are deeply connected to our vaginas.'
