Inis Nua Theatre Company will team up with Drexel University's Mandell Professionals in Residence Project (MPiRP) to present a revival of Dublin by Lamplight by Michael West. Inis Nua's breakout hit from 2011 will be remounted with some familiar names, a grand two-level stage, and the talents of co-op students working side-by-side with the professional actors. Using commedia dell'arte make-up stylings and Storytellers theatre, the cast of six will portray 40 different characters in the fast-paced tale about the launch of the Irish National Theatre. Dublin by Lamplight runs November 9 to 20th at Drexel's Mandell Theater (3201 Chestnut Street).

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts announces a program change on its Jazz series. Due to a scheduling conflict, the Ambrose Akinmusire Quartet is not able to perform on Saturday, February 4, 2017. They will be replaced by the Marcus Roberts Trio, led by jazz legend Marcus Roberts. The long-running and virtuosic Trio makes their Miller Theatre debut with this performance. Each member of the Trio shares equally in leading and changing, displaying their innate connection to the music and each other.

Inis Nua Theatre Company opens their 2016-2017 season at the Louis Bluver Theater at The Drake (302 South Hicks Street) with Radiant Vermin by Philip Ridley, with previews starting October 19 and opening set for October 21. From England, this Philadelphia premiere mixes "be careful what you wish for" with a strong dose of unnervingly wicked humor.

On the heels of its 62nd Season, Williamstown Theatre Festival announced today that Jill Kargman, the star and creator of Bravo's hit comedy 'Odd Mom Out,' will host a benefit musical evening with Michael Cerveris, on Monday, October 24 at 7 PM at her home.

Irish Repertory Theatre, in association with The Public Theater, announced an extension for the US premiere of the Abbey Theatre's production of QUIETLY.

Williamstown Theatre Festival hosts the opening night for the second Nikos Stage production of the 2016 Season Saturday, July 16th at 8:00pm with the world premiere of Michael West's play The Chinese Room (July 13-23).

Producer/Directors Tom and Michael D'Angora were welcomed American Idol and Hairspray alum Diana Degarmo to The Marvelous Wonderettes, whose official opening was Thursday, June 2nd.  For her opening night performance, DeGarmo was joined onstage with a surprise cameo from her husband, former Idol alum and star of Broadway's Hair, Ace Young, as the audience participant, Mr Lee.  The show celebrated with friends and Broadway stars afterwards at Oovina Latin Kitchen and Wine Bar.

The Marvelous Wonderettes are back! The long-running Off-Broadway hit musical celebrated its opening night at New York's Theatre Row last night, April 28th. The show, featuring such classic fifties and sixties hits as 'Lollipop,' 'Dream Lover,' 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Son of a Preacher Man,' 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,' and 'It's My Party,' stars Christina Bianco as Missy, Kathy Brier as Suzy, Jenna Leigh Green as Cindy Lou, and Sally Schwab as Betty Jean. Laura Woyasz also stars as the 'Wonderstudy'. Williamstown Theatre Festival has added a new community immersive theatre project entitled Orpheus in the Berkshires (July 14 - 17), a World Premiere production made by and for the Berkshires, as well as an exciting line-up of special events for their 62nd season.

Pub-rock to punk-rock icon Graham Parker (Graham Parker and the Rumour) and guitarist Brinsley Schwarz have been touring as The Graham Parker Duo featuring Brinsley Schwarz performing music from their many years together, both with the Rumour and other endeavors. The two appear in concert at SOPAC today April 8 at 8:00pm with opener My Darling Clementine.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that HANNAH AND THE DREAD GAZEBO by Jiehae Park is the 2016 L. Arnold Weissberger New Play Award recipient. Jiehae will also receive The Jay Harris Commission to write a new play, a prize worth $10,000.

Manhattan Theatre Club just announced the lineup for this spring's Ernst C. Stiefel Reading Series, which kicks off next Monday, March 14.

For one night only, the Cary Arts Center presented a production of Gerard Alessandrini's hit off-Broadway musical revue Forbidden Broadway. In the show, a quartet of performers sing rewritten parodies of classic musical theatre songs from classics such as Annie, Aspects of Love, Beauty & the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy, Into the Woods, Jersey Boys, Les Miserables, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Oklahoma!, The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, West Side Story, and Wicked.

Williamstown Theatre Festival hosted its starry 2016 gala this evening at City Winery in New York City, where Artistic Director Mandy Greenfield announced the initial lineup for this summer's season -- the 62nd for the Tony Award-winning theatre company. Among the big names slated for the 2016 Summer Season are Alfred Molina, Marisa Tomei, Jane Kaczmarek and Michael Stuhlbarg.
