Aglet Theatre Presents FIFTY WORDS 4/10, 4/17

Aglet Theatre Company will present a staged reading of Michael Weller's searing marital drama 'Fifty Words' on April 10 at Berkshire Theatre Festival's Unicorn Theatre and on April 17 at TriArts' Bok Gallery. Mr. Weller will be in attendance at BTF on April 10 to discuss the play as part of the post-show talkback!

The critics have agreed 'Crazy fun,' reviewed the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, 'Great fun,' remarked Sarasota Magazine and 'Howling with Laughter,' exclaimed the Pelican Press. Shear Madness, by Paul Portner; Adapted by Marilyn Abrams and Bruce Jordan; Original Director: Bruce Jordan is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running play in the history of American Theatre and is hailed as America's Favorite Comedy

ALTER EGO Receives Premiere At Beverly Hills Playhouse, Opens 4/10

The Katselas Theatre Company continues its landmark 2010 Season with the World Premiere of James Lyons' Alter Ego, a fresh, candidly irreverent, sometimes poignant look at relationships, fidelity, monogamy, addiction and everything else that takes place between the upper thighs and the lower waist. The production is co-directed by Audrey Moore and Leila Vatan. Producing is Gary Grossman. The production opens Saturday, April 10 at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

FST Extends SHEAR MADNESS Thru April 18

Florida Studio Theatre adds performances through the end of March for the hit Shear Madness and one must-see performance! A line-up of special guest stars will be incorporated into the Wednesday, March 17th evening performance.

YEAR ZERO and BACHELORETTE Set for Second Stage Theatre's Summer Season

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced the two plays which will be presented as part of the company's eighth annual Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series this summer: the New York premiere of Michael Golamco's Year Zero, directed by Will Frears, and the world premiere of Leslye Headland's Bachelorette, directed by Trip Cullman.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that USMAN ALLY, TERENCE ARCHIE, DESMIN BORGES, CHRISTIAN LITKE, and MICHAEL T. WEISS (NBC's 'The Pretender') will star in the New York premiere of THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY, a new play written by Kristoffer Diaz and directed by Edward Torres.

Olney Theatre Center's acclaimed production of Bus Stop has been extended to March 21. Noted director/actor/writer Austin Pendleton has directed "a glowing production" of Bus Stop, according to The Washington Post. The Gazette says Olney's staging of the play is "worth checking out."

John Lithgow & Jennifer Ehle Lead MR. &. MRS FITCH for 2nd Stage; Opens 2/22

Tony Award winners John Lithgow and Jennifer Ehle star as MR. & MRS. FITCH in the world premiere comedy from Douglas Carter Beane at Second Stage Theatre. The production marks MR. Beane's return to Second Stage Theatre where his critically acclaimed, Tony-nominated play The Little Dog Laughed premiered in 2005. MR. & MRS. FITCH will be directed by Scott Ellis, who also staged the world premiere and Broadway transfer of The Little Dog Laughed. Opening night for MR & MRS FITCH is scheduled for Thursday, February 22.
