BWW Interviews: Jeffry Denman, Direct from Signature's Kid Victory

Thanks to the team at Signature Theatre, audiences in the DC-area are being given the opportunity to see another world premiere of a new musical, Kid Victory! John Kander, legendary composer, along with his late composing partner, Fred Ebb, of such beloved musicals as Chicago and Cabaret, and of the iconic anthem, New York, New York, is behind this new work, and Kid Victory is Kander's second offering in partnership with playwright Greg Pierce [nephew of actor David Hyde Pierce]. Their previous new musical, The Landing, premiered Off Broadway at NYC's Vineyard Theatre in 2013.

Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show Sets Record For Longest Fashion Show

Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show, a fashion fete presented by Cotton Incorporated in partnership with PEOPLE magazine was held this weekend onMiami Beach's iconic Ocean Drive, officially setting a new Guinness World Record for the 'Longest Fashion Show' based on length of time. With the help of more than 50 hair and makeup artists, 60 models festooned the record-breaking runway in more than 4,000 pieces of the finest cotton styles and walked a combined total of 96 dazzling miles. More than 1.2 million online viewers logged on to watch the live stream and plan their most memorable cotton looks!

Ruthie Henshall To Join Cast Of BILLY ELLIOT!

Olivier award-winning actor Ruthie Henshall is to join the cast of Billy Elliot the Musical to play Billy's dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson. Henshall's first performance will be 12 May 2014, nine years to the day sinceBilly Elliot the Musical officially opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre. The internationally celebrated show which has now been seen by over 9.5 million people worldwide is currently booking to 16 May 2015and features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall. Stephen Daldry directs with choreography by Peter Darling.

BWW Interviews: Synchronicity Cast and Director Discuss Revival of Family Favorite PETITE ROUGE

Synchronicity Theatre rounds out their 15th Anniversary Season with a revival of last year's critically-acclaimed, 'Petite Rouge'. Featuring members of the original cast and directed by Justin Anderson, 'Petite Rouge' is part fairy tale, part adventure and all fun for all audiences. Based on the book of the same name written by Mike Artell and illustrated by Jim Harris, this musical adaptation is brought to life by playwright and composer Joan Cushing. Synchronicity's co-production with Aurora Theatre, where the show performed for school audiences earlier this spring, opens March 29th and performs through April 21st. For this run, the show moves to a new venue, this time playing the Horizon Theatre.
