La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts (Brian Kite, producing artistic director), Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Batman, and The Transfer Group (Suzan Fairchild, Artistic Producer), presents the Los Angeles premiere of the all-new, reimagined, environmental and completely immersive theater production of the legendary musical CARRIE THE MUSICAL. Director Brady Schwind opened up about the new production in a recent interview with LA Weekly. He revealed: 'Someone in the show I was doing at the time had a bootleg audio of it. And I listened to it and fell in love with the music. It seemed so exciting, that I think, for a young person, your mind starts thinking about, 'Oh, what would I ever do if I ever staged this show, or if I ever had the chance to work on it?'

Psyche Productions, LLC in association with Greenway Arts Alliance present the world premiere of, PSYCHE: A Modern Rock Opera, book, music and lyrics by Cindy Shapiro (based on the Greek myth of 'Psyche and Eros'), with musical direction by Jack Wall, choreography by Janet Roston and directed by Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews. PSYCHE: A Modern Rock Opera will begin previews on Friday, August 22 and will open on Friday, August 29 at 8pm and run through Sunday, September 28 at the Greenway Court Theatre, 544 North Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood.

Now on stage at the Norris Theatre in Palos Verdes the local company has created a fresh sparkling production with even direction from Randy Brenner and zestful tap choreography from Kami Seymour. Musical Theatre West presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA!, which opened last night, February 16, and continues through March 3, 2013. Davis Gaines (LA's Phantom of the Opera, Ovation Award winner for Musical Theatre West's Man of La Mancha) makes his Los Angeles-area directorial debut with this production. As with all Musical Theatre West productions, OKLAHOMA! is locally-produced in Long Beach with professional actors from Broadway, national tours, film and television, including the best in local talent.
