Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Theatre present 'The Madwoman of Chaillot,' written by Jean Giraudoux and adapted by Maurice Valency, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Nov. 13 through 17, in W.M Turner Auditorium.

Lynch Theater at John Jay College, May 10-13, 2012 with a family matinee May 13, 2012. The Season features the World Premiere of Artistic Director/Choreographer Pascal Rioult's new work, The Violet Hour, inspired by T.S. Eliot's "The Waste Land" with a commissioned score by Grammy-Winning composer Joan Tower. The World Premiere will be performed at each evening performance to live musical accompaniment with Joan Tower at the piano, and cellist Raman Ramakrishnan. The program also includes RIOULT's Firebird (2003) and Celestial Tides, which captivated audiences at its premiere at The Joyce Theater in 2011.

The DGC congratulates the 2011 nominees announced today in Toronto. Selected from close to 175 submissions, the 76 nominees in 19 categories represent a cross section of the industry's outstanding talent in film and television.

Allison Barnett plays the role of Tracy, with Scott Willis playing teen heartthrob Link Larkin. Arts Center favorite Matt Smith is hilarious in the role of Edna Turnblad, with Robert Hiers as Wilbur Turnblad, Scarlett Turney as Velma Von Tussle and Lindsay Mapes as Amber Von Tussle. Drew Lyons plays the role of Seaweed, with Zoe Phillips as his sister, Little Inez. Matt Hunter plays the role of Corny Collins.
