Westport Country Playhouse to Host Holiday Online Auction

Westport Country Playhouse will host a holiday online auction, called "Encore! Encore," to support the historic theater, for one week only, from Monday, December 14, at 5 p.m., through Monday, December 21, at 5 p.m.

Westport Country Playhouse has been awarded a $75,000 Challenge Grant from Newman's Own Foundation to increase individual donor support. Tenor Alok Kumar to Perform Solo Concert at The Ware Center, 11/8

Internationally renowned tenor Alok Kumar will take the stage as a solo concert artist with a program including songs by Liszt, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Ware Center. Kumar's performance will be uniquely influenced by Romani music and culture. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

Westport Country Playhouse Receives Grant

A grant of $23,250 to Westport Country Playhouse awarded by Connecticut Humanities will support a series of community events surrounding the Playhouse production of Arthur Miller's "Broken Glass" that will further explore the themes of the play and the legacy of this important American and Connecticut playwright.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) opens its 56th season with the wildly theatrical homage to the films of Alfred Hitchcock, THE 39 STEPS. Directed by Michael Ross, who returns to CCCT after his 2014 smash-hit production of Spamalot, THE 39 STEPS plays from tonight, September 25 through October 18. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm at the theatre.

Crackle Begins Production on THE THROWAWAYS, Executively Produced BY Jeremy Renner
