Goodspeed Musicals kicks off its 50th Anniversary Season with a new production of the classic musical Good News!. This high spirited musical comedy will run from April 12 - June 22 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Good News! will be sponsored by Liberty Bank and Updike, Kelley & Spellacy. Hartford Symphony Orchestra and Goodspeed Musicals will join to celebrate the music and the magic of Goodspeed's golden anniversary in a spectacular concert event tonight, February 23, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford.
The Hartt School presents a variety of music, dance, and theatre performances this February, many of which are free, and all are open to the public. All events take place at the University of Hartford's main campus, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT, unless otherwise noted.

Due to a critical illness in her family, Casey Husion has withdrawn from directing Something's Afoot at the Goodspeed Opera House. Vince Pesce, originally choreographer of the production, will now also direct the show. During the planning process, Ms. Hushion, who conceived this production, worked closely with Mr. Pesce as she consulted with the authors, chose the creative team and cast the show. Everyone in the Goodspeed family wishes the best to Ms. Hushion and her family while we welcome Mr. Pesce as director.
